If so, how much air does it consume?** A: Yes should be connected to an air compressor. The pressure range is specified in the manual that I don't remember the exact number, but my small compressor worked just fine. **Q: This being a german tool, is the quick coupler a na version or european?** A: I gobbled one together to allow it to work, but no longer have the vehicle. Tatsächlich ist sie im Handling sogar deutlich besser, als das Modell aus dem Video, denn die starre Lanze mit dem großen Druckbehälter ist in dem beengten Räumen der Fahrzeuge eher hinderlich, im Vergleich zu dem flexiblen Schlauch dieser Sprühpistole. Das Konzept von Liquy Moly für dieses Gerät ist allerdings wohl eher die Idee, dass man mangels tiefgreifender Begabung für das Handwerk am Auto die Düse durch die Lüftungsgitter ins Innere der Lüftungsanlage schiebt und dort mehr oder minder großzügig die Reinigungsflüssigkeit verteilt. Sofern man dieses Gerät wirklich benötigt, ist diese Vorgehensweise allerdings kontraproduktiv. Die Gründe dafür sind vielfältig und sprengen den Rahmen, aber kurz gesagt, wenn es überhaupt gelänge, den Verdampfer zu erreichen, würde man den Dreck in den Verdampfer allenfalls hinein, statt heraus befördern. Beim VW California stünde man gänzlich auf verlorenem Posten, denn das Übel sitzt 2 Meter vom Lüftungsgitter entfernt. Grundsätzlich sollte man die Reinigung des Verdampfers in Richtung der Luftstroms vornehmen, denn die Ursache der Geruchsbildung befindet sich auf der Austrittsseite der luft. Zugang zum Verdampfer erhält man allenfalls durch den Ventilator oder den Pollenfilter. Beim VW-California ist die Quelle des Übels der Verdampfer, welcher sich hinter dem Radkasten des rechten Hinterrades befindet. Hier wird die Luft gänzlich ohne Filter aus dem Fußraum des Innenraumes durch den Verdampfer gejagt. Der Zugang ist nur ein senkrecht von oben herangeführter Luftschacht aus dem Gebläsegehäuse. Eine Sonde, die nach vorne spritzt, wie die mitgelieferte, ist an dieser Stelle völlig nutzlos. Den zielführenden Umbau der Sprühdüse habe ich als Foto beigefügt. Alu-Ruhr 7,5 × 1 mm / Löcher 9 × 2 mm. Die Mutter M10 ist als Drehhilfe für die Sprühsonde gedacht und optional. Am besten läßt sich die Sonde führen, wenn man die Löcher 90° verdreht zur Wickelbiegung des Schlauches befestigt.
