This review is for the gimbal and the AI tracking sensor together. pros: 1. High quality. 2. Incredibly comfortable girth of the phone that does not press the buttons (see first 2 attached photos). 3. Infinity yaw rotation and width angle of pitch rotation. 4. AI tracking works really well when you are at least 2m (6ft) away from the camera. 5. You can use all "freedom" of rotation on horizontal phone position. 6. It can be used as a power bank, and should give you about 5000mAh for standard for smartphones (3.7V). cons: 1. AI tracking cut your face when you are close to the phone - on the video call, for instance. Video is attached to demonstrate this. 2. Sometimes the gimbal starts to vibrate very unpleasant and loudly when you touch the phone. 3. In vertical phone position gimbal doesn't let you use all pitch rotation - when my Pixel 6 centered it blocked to rotate screen down [3], if I lift phone up to fix it [4] it will block other side [5]. This doesn't matter in most cases, but I want let you know. neutral, FYI: 1. Don't forget to balance [1] part, otherwise this motor gets hot really quick and gimbal turns off. 2. Phone clips can be moved left-right and they don't center your phone by default [2]. my story: I originally bought this two devices for two purposes: * The first is to shoot photo spheres on the Pixel. I really love this mode. But it turned out that I spend much more time when using it, and the quality of gluing isn't better. But I wasn't upset - I have another use for it, and in general the device is very high quality and pleasant. I would like to use it. * The second purpose is to help me shoot videos and make video calls. I do it really often. but when I'm at a comfortable distance from the phone (outstretched hand), it cuts off part of my face, you can see it in the attached video. I consider this to be a significant defect in "AI" tracking and would like to return it. I'm upset that I have to do this. Overall, the gimbal is great, despite 2&3 pros. Unfortunately, I can't say the same for "AI" tracker.

This is my favorite tool for video. Packed with great features, well constructed, easy to use, and a long lasting battery. The carrying protective case is a plus. The Hohem Joy app is good and easy to use however it's buggy with certain features like slow motion(I'm using when Samsung S25) however works fine with normal android camera app. I'm sure they will perfect it with further app updates.

Instructions was clear. booklet is in many languages and i am not going to list it all. scanned the barcode inside the insteuction to download app. installed, turned on bluetooth and it paired quickly successfully used this on my samsung a71 5g, but plan on using it on iphone 13 pro max (i have not tried it yet) i was rold this will work phones with phone cases, it didnt work on mine. beware that some phone covers like mine will be incompatible. (mine has a magnet that protrudes out at the back of the case.) i had to remove it. all the buttons are smooth and comfortable to the touch. and it has a professional lokm and feel to it. the joystick is kind of slow but maybe its due to the setting i have it on. maybe in sports mode it will be more responsive. packaging was great. as it comes with a protective case. i have a gimbal for my canon m50 mkii (same company) and that too had a great carrying case.

Their logo says it all: "Magic in solo film making." I am new to vlogging. I have been interested in it for a long time, and finally took the leap. There are many excellent online instructional resources on the topic. I watched many of them. One of them mentioned this item. It's hard to find a camera that is more convenient and has better image quality than your cell phone camera. This 3 axis, gimbal stabilizer, extends the capabilities of your cell phone camera enormously. Let me summarize by saying filming something without this stabilizer and watching the video, then repeating the process with this stabilizer will allow you to see the significant benefits this tool affords. If you want to optimize your video creations, this device will definitely up your game. It is modestly priced, feature packed, and easy to learn. If you're going to be a vlogger, you might as well be a good one.

Bought the M6 in Jul 2023 and have not used it at all except for some tests at home. Literally, just a few minutes of use. I have another gimbal that I use with a DSLR and did not really want to use my iPhone as a video cam. Until a few days ago as I was thinking of bringing it on a trip. I got the M6 out of the box, the nice case and tested again. It was working fine except for one major problem: the pan axis lock switch kept sliding to the lock position by itself. That switch has a latching bump so it is a mystery how the M6 can just slide it to the lock position by itself. I looked around YouTube and found a guy with an M6 and MT2 with the same problem. The fix is not hard, just lodge something in the switch cavity to prevent it from moving and then tape it up. Nice Mickey Mouse solution for your $200 piece of gear (includes the magnetic tracking sensor/fill light). Hohem has come out with a newer version: iSteady M7. Think hard before purchasing one. That too would have a pan axis lock. As for me, I would never buy a HoHem gimbal again.

Depending on the size of your phone this might be the gimbal for you this gimbal performed better than almost every gimbal I've tried so far And for the price to be honest it's a no-brainer This performed better than some of the expensive gimbals Granted I'm running a heavier setup an iPhone 14 pro Max with 52 mm camera lens attachment Definitely a chore for most gimbals that I've tried But during my shoot today this gimbal took everything I threw at it the only thing that trips it up is turning it upside down but if you're like me and you need that mode from time to time you can turn on PTF mode and then it will somewhat turn upside down it has an issue turning right side up but it will work in a pinch Other than that unlike the zhiyun s5 which granted will perform well turning it upside down without a hitch Just wasn't built to handle a heavy setup like mine But I would purchase this gimbal over that gimbal any day it just performs better simpler to use it doesn't have little hiccups like the S5 does where sometimes you'll turn the gimbal at a certain point and it'll just mess up and you'll lose some footage because of it I don't know what's going to happen long-term but today I had minimal issues except for turning it upside down Every other movement I needed it to do it did it with some exceptions But shooting in a kitchen with people moving extremely fast trying to get access to the shot while everybody's trying to block it and having to change your angle every 3 seconds sometimes this gimbal was impressive in that situation Not perfect but impressive Even turning the phone upside down so that you can have the camera on the bottom and have the camera lens set up still on it it's still will perform without a hitch unlike the hohem mini which literally had a seizure when I tried to do that Luckily I had this as my secondary trial gimbal because it completely saved the day My footage was smooth accurate and with relatively easy to operate If you're thinking about the AI tracking I can attest that it works extremely well I did what I could to try to trip it up even left the building and came back in it stopped and then started right back up as soon as it saw me again Granted the fact that it doesn't use the Bluetooth connection to start recording the video in your native iPhone camera app was disappointing The included light while not being as bright as some of the other lights I've tried the s5 is much brighter did perform adequately to me it's definitely not as bright as I would need typically but in a pinch it's not bad I do like the fact that you can change the temperature or adjust the brightness but unless you're in a very dark environment I don't see you wanting to turn it down considering it's just not bright enough But the functionality is very cool to have on such a cheap gimbal The roll wheel while not being as easy as I wish it was too activate that function does work extremely well once again great addition to such a cheaper option gimbal Granted just because this gimbal costs less does not mean it's cheaply made I do also like the included case I do wish that it had the ability to put the gimbal in at the settings that you need to be able to set it to, to properly balance your device but it's a nice quality Case for the price that you pay This is one gimbal I would recommend purchasing I only hope that they figure out how to stop it from messing up when you try to turn it upside down and of course give us a light that's brighter Other than that the battery performance was also so far pretty good it didn't use that much battery for the shoot that I did granted this was a shorter shoot than normal So as they say only time will tell how it performs from this day forward I will also leave you with the first gimbal I purchased from this company was very defective the battery died very quickly and it just would not perform as good as other reviewers like myself talked about which is the reason why I sent it back and this is the second gimbal I was sent So keep that in mind if you get it deffective one

I'm in the middle of trying to start a sports marketing career in University and these are excellent. I mean really excellent. They're not cheap, but if you want to buy the best of the best I would recommend this company. I did a ton of research going into this because I needed to purchase a couple of these for my team, so I will simplify it quickly. The two best companies in the game are Hohem and DJI. DJI makes really portable and lightweight products, while Hohem makes heavy duty and feature-packed ones. This product has served me excellently. I've never used the app because I didn't want my videos tracked by anyone else, and I think this has held up just as well nonetheless. The optional add-on AI camera works really well and it's on sale all the time so you can get it for less than $50. I highly recommend it because it makes shooting by yourself so much easier. The battery life to these things is also excellent. They will easily outlast my phone on any filming day. They also attach easily to regular camera tripods if you want, because there is a screw in the base where the provided tripod is also attached. It charges fast too, in under a couple hours from completely empty. It uses a basic USB-C charging cable as well. Speaking of which, the tripod is amazing. Absolutely critical feature. When I am shooting I always have it attached to make the handle longer and easier to hold on to. Whenever I need to set it down, bang. Built in stand. Probably the best feature of this whole thing to be honest, I use it at least a couple times a shoot. The case is great too, makes this easy to transport and very safe. The gimbal itself is extremely sturdy and well built. I use an iPhone 15 Pro and it has no problem with the weight. One thing to point out as a recommendation for newbies using this - the first motor sometimes gets in the way of the camera when you are bobbing up and down, so I would recommend twisting it around to be facing you before you do complex movements - just a little tip! Overall this is incredibly easy to use and to pick up, I had all the basics figured out before I even opened the instruction manual. But definitely read the instruction manual, there are tons of pro tricks you can do with this thing that make it even better. If you are looking at one of these, just buy the best upfront. It will make the quality of your videos better, it will last the test of time, and it will keep your device safe. It is totally worth it and I own three now.
