Worth the money
I've been through a few cameras of varying price and quality, and the SVC3 range seem to hit that sweet spot between price and quality nicely. The construction of this is hefty with a metal mounting plate (hint: do you do need to use screws that fit in the countersunk holes if the ones supplied are too short), not the lightweight plastic you see on other cameras. 5MP picture is crystal clear, and manages to keep full colour even at night (albeit there is a streetlight outside, which other cameras needed to switch into B&W mode for). Being ONVIF compliant, this works like a dream with Blue Iris and other similar DVRs; pan/tilt speed is fine, although the zoom is digital only, not optical.

Had this a few months now amazing!!!
Absolutely love this you can’t see where it’s pointing even at night time the tint is great really impressed wanted something that no one can see where it’s pointed. Quality is good for what it costs. Must say I’ve had cheaper brands which don’t load up as consistently as this one does every time I click it opens up very little lag I have iPhone 11 Pro Max and works brilliantly. Would highly recommend. Also when you look back through events it’s easy to see things and that side works well too.

Useless at night
I have a 4mp PTZ camera from a different maker for almost the same price and it has a much clearer picture than this supposed 5mp camera, the bitrate on this one is limited so the picture is not very sharp and the night vision is worthless, you can’t read a number plate or make out a face. The tracking works ok and the day time pic is probably fine for checking movement over a large area, but it is worthless for identification. There is no way to disable the infrared led’s after dark, even if it’s pointing at a floodlit yard so it’s draws more power and the led’s reflect off nearby objects blowing out large areas of the picture. It also doesn’t work well with my onvif NVR, when you open the stream it takes 10-15 seconds to show the picture but my 4mp ptz shows up instantly. Recording is sporadic and it often does not record anything at all. All things considered I would not recommend this camera at this price point, IMHO it’s a 40 quid camera at best and is no use for evidence gathering, spend the extra tenner and get a proper ptz with a clearer picture that records all movement and won’t let you down, this one is a joke.

I am reviewing this camera... SV3C PTZ WiFi Dome Camera Outdoor Security Camera Indoor 5MP with Auto Tracking Infrared Night Vision 2-Way Audio Motion Detection Wireless IP Cam, RTSP, FTP, SD Card Record, Remotely, 2.4/5 GHz WiFi Which can be found here... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BRQ98L4H?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details First of all, I'm already a fan of SV3C cameras. I've had other brands prior to using SV3C and once I tried a couple of their cameras, I was hooked. They make a solid, reliable, camera for the money. This camera is no exception. It's a well built dome camera, with a metal housing, and all the moving parts are inside the dome. It has an IP66 waterproof rating and will withstand the elements when mounted outside. It's easy to setup and you have a couple options on how to do that. It is ONVIF compliant and can easily be added to your NVR/DVR setup. You don't need an NVR or DVR to use this camera. You can just use the free CamHi or CamHiPro phone apps. The camera will connect to your home network via a standard ethernet cable or by 2.4Ghz or 5Ghz wifi. The camera has a 3.6MM lens and is digital zoom only. There is no optical zoom on this camera. In the video that accompanies this review, the shed you see in the upper right corner is approximately 100 feet away from the camera. The "burglar" is about 10 to 20 feet away. The camera has humanoid tracking and does a fair job of tracking a person, unless, as you'll see... the person is running. It's not fast enough to keep up. The yellow box you see briefly appearing around the burglar is a feature that can be turned off. It will still track, but without the yellow frame. I find the yellow frame annoying, so I have it turned off on all my cameras. You can setup "presets" to save different camera positions. Each preset is assigned a number. Think of it as speed dialing for camera positions. Sure beats having to pan the camera manually all the time. This camera has 2-way audio. You can converse with someone standing near the camera. Audio quality isn't great, but is good enough. You can connect to this camera on your home network by typing the IP address into a browser. You'll find a bunch more settings that you can tweak by accessing the camera this way. You can have the camera email up to 3 pictures for each alarm event. You also have the option of sending pictures or video to an FTP server. You do not need to subscribe to anything. Night vision on this camera is just OK. It suffers from the same drawbacks as every other dome camera out there. Stray light can refract on the dome and make it harder for the infrared to reach as far as it could and light up the dark. I plan on moving this camera to a covered porch where there will be minimum stray light at night. That being said, you can tweak the brightness, contrast, and saturation of the night image. In the night footage of my video, the first burglar run is set to the default image settings and washes out the burglars face pretty bad. I knocked the brightness down a bit for the second nighttime burglar run. OK... he's not really a burglar, but he is pretty shady. 😎 Even with the night vision issues, I'm very pleased with this camera. For the money, the build quality and features make this a solid purchase.

Bought several cams from this company now as I consider them the best and easiest to manage. Both types (the ones that work with CAMHI app, that is the simplest one, and the ones that work with CloudEdge, the newest) work perfectly fine. This is motorized dome, that looks and works perfectly fine, and is easy to manage. I was not able to place it on it’s final location but I was eager to review and share with other Amazon users, so I temporarily held it to metal staircase just for testing purposes. I played with it enough to see that the quality of it is great. Super crisp image in both day and night. The quality of the camera looks solid, great construction and material. It looks really neat and pro. Holding it to it to the ceiling should be super easy. It has a ring that you first screw to the ceiling and then insert and slide/twist the camera in. Camhi is the app that manages this camera, super easy to manage. It has all you need. Realtime view, camera movement, alarm alerts, smart movement tracking (see video attached for a short demo), 2 way audio, and SD recordings access. Available for IOS and Android. It can also be connected to HiP2P client on computers, and manage it more like if it was a DVR system. The auto tracking/motion detection seems to be very accurate, and the alarm notifications work like a charm. I’m super happy with the purchase and I will probably buy more of these to put together a circuit. For me, it is a total 10/10. Leaving here a short video of the CAMHI app and camera working on IOS. Check it out. (excuse the mess, just came from a trip and was opening the suitcases).

I bought this SV3C point-tilt-zoom security camera for a rental property in Phoenix where I’ve previously installed SV3C cameras. As with past experience, this camera has met my expectations, delivering high performance, clear imagery and user-friendly control. The 5MP resolution ensures crystal-clear images, in my case outdoors for surveillance. The auto-tracking function has been greatly improved on the app and allows me to seamless follow visitors and provide a comprehensive view of my area under surveillance. Since this camera is mounted outdoors, the infrared night vision is important, allowing the camera to capture details even in low-light conditions. This feature, coupled with 2-way audio, adds an extra layer of security, allowing for real-time communication and monitoring. The motion detection capability is sensitive and I’d estimate 90%+ accurate, alerting me promptly when visitors are entering during off hours. The only false positive I get is a large dog of one of the tenants. But since we often get coyotes jumping the fence, I’m OK with that. I like the versatility of this camera a lot. It supports 2.4/5 GHz wi-fi with a stable and fast connection, and offers various recording options such as RTSP, FTP, and SD card recording. I timed the installation from start to finish – less than 5 minutes. The cloud-based app is a plus, with easy control, real-time access, and a back-up of all interactions. In summary, this SV3C PTZ security camera is an excellent choice as a reliable, cost-effective, high-performance surveillance solution. I’ll update this review after a couple of months to see how it fares in the heat of a Phoenix summer.
