Nice spinning tool
This is a nice tool to practice figure skating spins while off the ice. It worked better on an oriental rug than a solid flooring surface that provided too much friction to maintain a spin.

I've never used name-brand spinners like Edea so I can't give a comparison to that, but I will say that this product actually does work and I've been able to practice a variety of spins from camel and y-spin through biellmann. I've seen a pretty huge difference in the spins I am able to practice on the spinner when I'm out on the ice. I would say the only complaint is that the spinner travels quite a bit when you're using it, so be careful if you're in a tight space.

Ships quick, great price, doesn't damage wood or tile, soooo much fun to use, great practice off ice spins
If you're working on your spins, this is a fantastic tool to have off ice. Find your center of balance and spin away! I went with this product over the Edea because this one is better about not damaging wood floors or tile, they all recommend you get some linoleum, which I may, but for now I'm using them on my wood floors and I haven't seen any damage. The only problem you will have is, staying off of the spin board, it's that awesome!

NOT a good source of OFF-ICE practice!
Let me start this by saying it is NOT a bad product, $20 for this spinner was reasonable and it was very easy to manage, especially being a heavier person. Not too heavy The problem is the item is NOT an off-ice spinner. It’s not going to help you practice if you’re a figure skater like I am, the description is just completely wrong. This specific spinner is for a ballerina to practice, NOT figure skaters. You’ll ruin your technique this!! One thing I might add is the length is nice but terrible width wise, I have narrow feet and I couldn’t even stand on it without 1/3 of my foot hanging off. For my figure skater gals/guys, don’t buy this
