Great ski and pole holder

I frequently take my kids to the mountain so I want to make the equipment haul to the lifts and ski school easier. There are a lot of straps on the market so I decided to try out four by putting them on my and my kids' skis at home. Overall Bowtie was the simplest, most compact, and will probably be easiest for my kids to use. Sklon and Volk, unlike Bowtie, separated the skis from the poles and were virtually identical except Sklon had a padded strap and Volk had a slightly thinner, rubberized strap. I would recommend any of the three, depending on your needs. YSST did less of a good job separating the skis from the poles and I found positioning the skis and poles into the Velcro straps to be more difficult so I’m not recommending it compared to the others. I am guessing at durability since I've only tried them at home. These are the winners of the four I tried (based on design and ease of use) with different use cases: Simplest / Quickest: Bowtie. Easiest for young kids: Bowtie. I decided to get a second pair for my youngest. Most compact: Bowtie. If you have to carry it in a coat pocket all day after getting to the hill, this is the one I suggest. Best at protecting poles: Volk / Sklon (Tie): both of these nearly identical straps is designed with a separate strap that keeps your poles away from your skis. The Bowtie doesn't do this, but if you tighten it well and just have a short walk to the hill hand-carrying it, it is probably not a big concern. I went with the Sklon for my own planks / poles. Best for hand-carrying: Bowtie. The Sklon and Volk each have a large buckle that prevents fully centering the carry strap at its most compact, which is a minor annoyance. Best for shoulder carrying with the skis vertical: Sklon (if you like a padded strap) / Volk if you like a thinner rubberized tactile strap contacting the shoulder. I hope this was helpful! These are great. Makes lugging skis and poles from the parking lot much easier. Easy to stow in a backpack or helmet and boot bag. Easy to use as well.

They work great. Pole loo is a little loose. wish inside was all velcro to snap and secure poles better.

This thing is a lifesaver. I have two young kiddos who can't quite carry their own gear yet so I end up carrying everything, and it is A LOT. This strap is perfect because I can attach my skis and poles and just sling it over my shoulder giving me two free hands again to carry everything else. I was impressed by the soft foam that grips the skis really well even when they are wet at the end of the day. The Velcro is also very strong and seems durable. It was such a relief to have these this season and I would highly recommend!

Just got back from Copper Mt, CO and this gem worked as advertised! No more balancing act to control your skis and poles. Gear loaded easily and securely; both skis and poles. The pole holder has both a snap and Velcro for security. Walking from the parking lot to the bus and from the bus to the hill, was super easy. Once on the hill, I put the straps, folded up, in my inside ski coat pocket, until it was time to leave. Having your equipment secured made it easier to load and unload from the car too, and I think it may have even given a little more stability during the air transport. I preferred to carry the skis vertical but I’m sure horizontal would work just as well. Don’t hesitate - I’m not a paid sponsor - just a happy customer!

Makes carry skis and sticks much easier. Also like that they can be hung up on the train by the strap. Also can hang by strap at night in the ski room. Poles can slip out from the clasp, when the clip comes undone at one end, not sure if there's a trick to keep them in. Used with 6 & 9 year old in Zermatt.

I have been looking for comfortable, versatile easy to use ski carry straps for so long. Finally these Sklon are the best. The Sklon ski carry strap makes it so easy to carry my skis and poles from the car to the bottom of the chair lift. I just take the strap off and stuff it in my pocket and then use it at the end of the day to carry my skis back to the car. It’s so nice to have two free hands to unlock the car and open the trunk. My friend saw how well it worked and bought for him and his two girls. Highly recommend!

Je l’ai utilisé pendant un séjour au ski et ça m’a franchement simplifié la vie. Permet de porter ses skis facilement sans avoir mal aux bras. Léger, solide, se range sans souci. Gadget ? Peut-être. Mais quand on l’a, on s’en passe plus !
