Where should I place my M32 if using it in Extender mode?

In order for any range extender to perform well, you want to place it in a spot where it is getting a good signal from the router. Placing it in an area with poor or low signal will likely result in poor extender performance.

M32 can work in mesh with Dir-AX4860?

The Mesh feature is available with other Eagle AI Series routers and extenders e.g. M32,R32, M15, or E15 and more.

Does this support VPN client?

It does not support VPN client mode.

Are you required to use the app to configure this or is there also a web interface that can be manually configured?

It can be configured using a web browser. You would just log in using the default IP/link provided in the set up guide.
