Unfortunately, it can't be an informative swatch book then, since I find that high quality colour pencils, e.g. Pablos and Polychromos have a hard time displaying themselves on this paper. These pencils need a type of paper similar to 'field conditions'. The same goes for blending combinations. A swatch is there to help us recall the personality of that pencil, so we can make a decision about using or not using it in our work.I don't think this swatch book is helpful in that regard. What would be useful - and this is what I am going to do - is to take a mixed media sketchbook and swatch all the pencils and acrylic/watercolour paints in that sketchbook, as that would be a truer swatch book.Manufacturers, take notice: ColorIT manages to charge around £20 for colouring books with something like 50 pictures - and people buy it at that price, and leave glowing reviews (well deserved, IMO). The secret? ColorIT books are printed on high quality paper and spiral-bound.Anyway, for markers this swatch book it's OK, as long as you keep in mind that alcohol markers and Sharpies would bleed through the other side of the page and remember to use a piece of cardstock under the page when swatching.The book is fairly cheap and can be useful. I won't be using mine and can't recommend it to others wholeheartedly. It's OK, that's all I can say. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A really neat way of keeping track of all your pencils *by L***Z on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 31 March 2017* If you are a keen colouriste with lots of pencils this is an essential in the search for the perfect colour for any part of a drawing. OK it takes a bit of time to set up as you have to colour in all the squares. Instead of writing the name of each colour I numbered my crayons with a sharpy pen. I keep my sets of crayons, I have 4..... I know but we all have our weaknesses, in cases. The very first time I did a picture this record of all the pencils I had made me realise what an essential tool this was. Instead of having to randomly searching through the pencils for something that looked suitable then having to test each one on a piece of scrap paper I was immediately able to see which pencil was the colour I wanted. The resulting drawing was the best one I had done and so easy.So all I can say is BUY one of these books for a neat and tidy way of keeping track of your pencils.PS. I know you could just do this in an ordinary notebook but with all it's little printed squares etc. this is such a neat and tidy way of doing this. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Lots of pages for colour charts *by S***A on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 8 June 2020* Great for making up colour charts to look through & pick which colours go together.
