We all have that thing that makes us so uncomfortable we can't possibly function until the situation is rectified. For me, it's slouchy socks. Socks that fall away from my calves and crumple up in my shoes, leaving my legs cold and my feet resting on lumps of sock. When that happens I'm rendered completely useless, unable to do anything but repeatedly pull my socks up as high as I possibly can, concentrating only on the discomfort that invariably arrives five seconds later as they slide down again. After much lost productivity and very possibly times of looking like a straight lunatic in public when I have an episode, I realized that TALLER socks might help me. Not compression socks, not thicker socks. But taller socks - like these. Amazon came through with these socks for sure! They're soft and a great thickness. Thick enough for boots but not too thick for sneakers. They're cotton so my feet can breathe and they're warm enough for winter days but not suffocatingly so. They stay up around my upper calves so the slouchy sock issue is not a problem but they're not so tight that I end up with a line from the elastic around my leg. I fully admit I'm probably weird when it comes to socks so this review may make no sense to anyone else, but the bottom line is that these are really nice socks. Buy them even if you have no idea what I'm talking about.

These are actually good knee socks. Detailed review, based on one wearing: I bought these socks specifically to protect my legs in the woods while playing disc golf. In the heat and humidity of summer when I wear shorts and golf skirts to play the sport, there are health risks to my lower legs: getting scratched by thorns, brambles, and branches; being bitten by deer ticks carrying Lyme Disease; poison ivy, oak, and sumac; cockleburs and stinging nettles. These things are everywhere in wooded areas of the Midwest and it's impossible to avoid them entirely (shank a throw, and you're hunting for your disc in deep bush). I chose white socks so that ticks would be easy to see. They also match my white athletic shoes, so the color choice does look intentional, and white is a neutral that goes with everything. A girl has to look good while playing this sport! It's an advantage... Maybe the boys will be distracted by how cute I look and not play as well as they otherwise would have. Hey, man... If these socks help me win by distracting other players, then all the better! As for quality and comfort, they exceeded my expectations. The length of the foot area was true to size: I have a size 11 narrow foot. I'm a tall woman, so clothes and shoes are often tricky and don't fit well. I bought the size 9-11 sock, which was surprisingly perfect for me. The toe area was roomy and at first, I was dubious if the socks would bunch in my shoes. But I wore these socks with shorts all day yesterday - at work, doing yard work, grocery shopping and cooking dinner, and they were comfortable for the full day without making me feel too hot. The fabric is thin compared to the acrylic cable socks I wear in winter. The top band of these socks stretched over my calf without binding, and the length was a surprise- tall enough to actually reach my knees; I have long legs and often women's tall knee socks don't actually reach my knee but end somewhere in the middle of my calf. The only negatives about these socks are: they are quite soft, so anything in the woods that wants to grab at my legs is going to stick to my socks. I'll be picking cockleburs off them like crazy. Also the white is going to show dirt and our heavy clay soil causes staining, so I may have to do some extra soaking if these socks get muddy. Ultimately ... Would I buy these again? Based on one wearing, yes. I might update this review if any problems arise; and if I continue to like them, I may update the review if I love them and purchase other colors.

These are soft, snug but not tight and feel like they would stay up without cutting into my upper calf. I haven't worn them yet, only tried them on, but so far extremely pleased.

Three years ago I got a bad case of eczema on my lower legs which at times is very uncomfortable. Five months ago I bought these socks because I'd read that cotton is one of the best materials to wear if you have eczema. Sure enough, these have become by far my favorite socks. In fact, I just bought 6 more pairs in a different color. They're so soft & not at all binding or irritating to my already irritated skin. It's like wrapping my lower legs & feet in pure comfort. And though it feels like a luxury item, the price is extremely reasonable. Should mention I'm a petite woman but I bought the Medium-Large size. Figured it'd be better if they're slightly loose than too tight. It turns out the fit is perfect for me. I never have any problem with them slipping down to my ankles. Highly recommended!

I picked up a few pairs of these socks in black to replace some older knee-high socks I had. Overall, I'm happy with them for daily wear. They're soft, comfortable, and the combed cotton feels smooth against the skin with no itchiness. They have an excellent length, they stay up nicely over the calf without sliding down or bunching at the knee. The seamless toe is a big plus, there's no annoying seam rubbing. They’re perfect for milder days, office wear with loafers, or layering under pants, but they don’t provide the same warmth or durability as thicker cotton blends. Still, for the softness, seamless comfort, and reliable stay-up fit, they’re a solid choice. Just know they lean thin. Happy with the purchase overall and would buy again, especially for warmer months!

These socks are fabulous. Soft, lightweight, cool and fit great with cowboy boots. I wear a size 10 and small 6-9 was perfect for the heel fitting. I have wide calves and they don't cut in tight and give my lower leg muffin top.

Just received these socks. I wear a size 10 shoe. I ordered the large (fits 9 to 11). They are perfect. Light and very comfy ... and no seams !! Highly recommend

I am tall and have a size 11 foot so finding a sock that hits me at the knee is like finding a needle in a haystack. When I ordered these I had hopes but I never thought they would be so long and comfortable. I have been wearing them daily since early January when the freezing cold weather hit. They keep my legs warm under my trousers at work. They do not roll down either. Very good value for money and they have kept their shape after washing several times. They have not shrunk at all. They come in a 3-pack which is great. Definitely recommend to all the tall girls out there!
