what is the O.D. (outside dimension ) of the square tube?

The outside dimension of the tube is 1.25" x 1.25" the inside dimension of the tube is 1" x 1"

My copilot trailer is missing the hitch part,so does this spare silver hitch be enough to attach it to the bike? Would I need the original hitch yet?

If your referring to the part that attaches to the bike, this part will replace the original hitch. If your missing both the hitch and the receiver you will need both pieces. Hope this helps!

Will this hitch fit securely to a 1-inch diameter seat post?

Yes. You just need to remove the bolts and then wrap it around seat post and then re-attach bolts.

Perfect fit for a Viking Tag along

Arrived a day earlier than expected and was a perfect fit for my Viking Tag along (not made by Weeride). No adjustments were necessary, it just clamps onto the seat post of the bike with 4 allen key bolts and the Viking slots in to the hitch, locking in place with the quick release bolt.

As described. A bit of rust on the inside of the tube which I sand papered off and it would have been nice to have been supplied with some rubber to protect the seat post when clamping on hence 4/5 stars.
