My buddy first purchased this robot and showed it to me. I looked it up on amazon and was concerned about the mixed reviews, with Amazon's return policy I figured I'd give this thing a try and if it sucked I would just return it. Set up wasn't that bad, pretty easy actually. I have been messing around with this robot for a few days now and it has worked out perfectly for me with no issues. If you have bad cell service in places it will lag a little. I wish you could change the tilt sensitivity as it is a little snappy. I say give this a try and if you don't like it just return it. My cats are so fascinated with it I often find it toppled over when I get home. It would be cool if they had a flying drone version of this robot.

Worked for about a month and all of a sudden app won't work and appbot won't stay connected. Website doesn't work. No support. I was really happy at first but now thinking about how much money I spent on this thing.... should have gave that money to the homeless. Now I just have a $ 180.00 door stop. What a waste! SMFH!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I've seen other complaints that happened to people down the line and fresh out the box but somehow I thought mine would be different. Didn't even get to experience the battery problem....just will not connect anymore Everytime it drops connection the little speaker inside pops like every 4 mins. It drives me crazy so I can't even keep the dam thing on without it sounding like a walkie talkie. Thought someone was listening in my conversation at first. This sucks donkey!: HIGHLY UPSET!!!!!!

Mine arrived with the box seal broken so I assume it was returned. Not sure which version I received. I decided to try it out anyway. The setup was pretty easy and on my iPad without cellular it works fine. When I tried to install it on an iPad with cellular as a second user (see YouTube video about installing for added users) it would not recognize the bot no matter what I tiried. I looked for a solution to no avail but then I saw a comment on the app page about a user who had to disable Cellular Data in iPad/iPhone setup to make the connection, then once connected, to turn the Cellular Data back on. If you have trouble getting it to connect make sure to turn off Cellular Data during the setup. The bot is working fine and with WiFi turned off it works fine through the cloud too. I tested the upright feature when flipped over and it works great unless you are up against a wall. It will back a bit and then jerk forward righting itself which is pretty darn cool. I don't think it can right itself if on it's side. The video quality is fairly good. Two way sound is fair quality. The bot will easily handle transitions from carpet to floor and over short transitions such as a tile border. The auto dock feature is cool and works great as long as you navigate close to the base station. I would give it 5 stars but the connection issue with Cellular Data almost stumped me when connecting it as a second user. Folks unfamiliar with technology may have trouble getting it to connect. I think it would have a far higher rating except for a couple of hangups which frustrate the less technically inclined users. I stationed ours in the corner behind a lamp base so our Roomba won't knock it over. Once I got it connected I can see it will be a great device to watch over our house while we are away. Time will tell and I may post an update later.

This is great in theory but I returned mine, the tech is just not fully ready yet. My charge base wouldn’t dock my Riley, and the charge base had a glitch and would over charge my Riley to the point that the battery life was terrible. And I had to reset it every time because of the charge. The customer service was great they called me personally and trouble shoot all my issues, but in the end, it just wasn’t worth the effort and I will wait for tech to catch up

Texting in to get used to but this thing is fun. When I'm at work and I want to check on my animals or just the house this thing will drive around your house and let you see what's going on in your living room or whatever in your house. It does not climb stairs so if you have upstairs you may want to buy an extra one. But other than that this thing is fun to drive easy to work and my cats love it

Riley has been a great addition to my home security system whilst it does look like a toy it functions really well as a mobile security camera and allows me to check areas where I have no cctv coverage. It worked out of the box and I was running it from my iPhone in minutes ; the instal procedure was very simple. As it's a small robot you do get a floor view of everything but it has near 360 deg viewing so no problem. Image resolution can be adjusted and is excellent as is motion capture. The only weak spot seems to be night vision where I find coverage poor. The robot is moved via the smart phone app and it quite good although adjustable sensitivity would be a nice to have as would a patrol mode where it can go over a predetermined path.

Sólo lleva un día en casa, pero va más allá de lo que esperaba: Se sincroniza muy fácilmente con el teléfono y lo llevo por toda la casa sin problema como si fuera un coche de radiocontrol. Graba en HD y tiene una excelente función de visión nocturna. Puedes hablar y escuchar desde el móvil a través del robot. Tiene una función que detecta movimiento y te avisa al teléfono, permitiéndote ver un video de 10 segundos de lo que haya grabado. Y lo que en principio me pareció una pega, que es su velocidad, ahora me parece una ventaja, porque evitas estrellarte contra la pared. Lo utilizo para echar un vistazo a una persona mayor y va de cine. Pensaba comprar un par de cámaras IP, pero por ese precio controlo toda la casa. Tras seis meses de uso, a la vuelta de vacaciones se ha averiado. No sincroniza con el teléfono. Me puse en contacto con el soporte técnico de la marca y no me han respondido. He mandado un correo a Atención al Cliente de Amazon y en dos horas me han ofrecido el reemplazo o el abono del importe. He optado por uno nuevo porque el robot me encanta. INMEJORABLE SERVICIO DE ATENCIÓN AL CLIENTE DE AMAZON.

Samstag bestellt, Montag geliefert –> top! Riley wird in einer ansprechenden Box geliefert. Nach meiner anfänglichen Freude über den putzigen Kerl, wurde ich zunächst einmal enttäuscht, da die Anmeldung gemäß Anleitung zunächst nicht funktionierte. Nach ein paar Fehlversuchen habe ich dann Kontakt mit der US Hotline von Varram aufgenommen. Zunächst hat es durchgeklingelt, aber 2 Stunden später kam der Rückruf. In englischer Sprache habe ich ein paar Tipps bekommen und eine weitere Anleitung per E–Mail. Da ich parallel auch eine Supportanfrage per E–Mail abgesendet hatte, kam auch eine Antwort einer andern Varram Kollegin aus Korea. Alles in Englischer Sprache. Die Hilfestellungen führten nicht zum Ziel, habe die Anleitung dennoch angehängt. Dann habe ich Riley in meiner Zweitwohnung und einem anderen Router getestet und festgestellt, dass er dort problemlos funktionierte. Mein Anfangsverdacht, dass das Problem an den Routereinstellungen liegen müsste, verhärtete sich. Zurück an meiner Fritz!Box 7490 habe ich Riley dann über den Gastzugang angemeldet, da mein Hauptnetzwerk einige Smarthome Einstellungen beinhaltet, die das Problem evt. ausgelöst haben. Im Gast W-LAN habe ich dann die Einstellung aktiviert, dass Geräte untereinander kommunizieren dürfen. Und siehe da, Riley wurde zum Leben erweckt. Riley rangiert irgendwo zwischen Spielzeug und Home-Security Anwendung. Die Kamera ist ordentlich, begeistert bin ich vom Nachtsichtig Modus der selbst bei totaler Finsternis noch ein brauchbares Bild liefert. Die Bewegungserkennung funktioniert bei gutem Licht besser als im Dunkeln, zuverlässig ist sie jedoch nicht. Die Gesichtserkennung ist nutzlos, funktioniert auch nicht besonders gut. Mit dem Rest der Funktionen bin ich sehr zufrieden. Riley lässt sich kinderleicht steuern, so dass auch weniger geschickte Navigatoren damit klar kommen sollten. Wenn man Riley mit Preisen von Home-Security Kameras ähnlicher Qualität vergleicht, dann ist er durchaus eine gute Alternative mit ein paar netten Extrafunktionen. Zum Abschluss möchte ich noch erwähnen, dass meine Kinder ihn lieben, aufgrund seiner putzigen Gestalt wird er liebevoll beim Namen angesprochen und sie lieben es Verstecken mit ihm zu spielen, wobei einer steuert und der andere sucht. Nachtrag: in einer der vorigen Rezessionen wird behauptet, dass sich Riley nur von einem Endgerät aus steuern lässt. Das ist nicht richtig. Ich habe sowohl ein iPad als auch ein iPhone für einen Appbot angemeldet. Man muss einfach die Anmeldeprozedur komplett identisch für beide Geräte durchlaufen. Danach konnte ich Riley mit beiden Smart–Geräten nacheinander steuern, also nicht zur selben Zeit, sondern nur mit einem Gerät zu einer Zeit.

Cette camera robot est minuscule. Je peux prendre la main de mon bureau, me balader dans la maison et même avoir une conversation clairement audible avec 1 personne (son bi-directionnel) + vision infrarouge pour la nuit. La camera est orientable haut / bas. Cerise sur le gâteau, en mode surveillance (sur sa base) elle me prévient s'il y a du mouvement chez moi, mais a éviter si, comme moi vous avez un chat qui n’arrête pas de passer devant. L'image est de bonne qualité. Le retour a la base extrêmement facile est bien pensé. La base se tourne lorsque le robot s'approche pour s’arrimer. Bref c'est fun, bien mieux qu'une cam interieur fixe, efficace, et incroyablement petit... Le TOP
