In Search Of The Perfect Back Support
Anyone out there suffer from lower back pain? When I was 16 I fractured L4 and L5 in four places. It wasn't a problem while I was young and stayed in shape. In fact I never knew that my back was broken until I was in graduate school (1974-1976). That's when I found myself in the hospital in traction for the first time. By the time 1985 rolled around I was having constant problems with severe lower back pain no doubt due to working a desk job for five years in a high stress environment. Once again I found myself in the hospital in full traction. When I discharged myself I began consulting with various surgeons to find a solution that might work for me. Needless to say the suggestions were all over the ball park. I finally selected a surgeon in Orlando who was a sports doctor for the Orlando Magic basketball team. He performed a double lateral fusion combined with a Bradford Wiring and sent me home in a walking body cast. State of the art stuff back then but regarded as somewhat primitive today. Fast forward to last summer. I retired several years previously and was determined to lose weight and get healthy again. So I bit the bullet and closely watched what I ate and exercised by working in the yard every day. After six months I had lost 80 pounds but was experiencing a new and constant problem. I now had constant sciatica down my right hip and across the front of my shin. No pain killers helped, nerve meds didn't work, and several spinal injections failed to relieve the pain. It turns out that losing weight caused my internal wiring to shift and put pressure on the sciatic nerve. Have you ever heard of the phrase "no good deed goes unpunished?" I was pretty much convinced to put all the weight back on. Having a wife as an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner and a daughter as a radiology resident pretty much tossed that thought out the window. I had used several different types of back braces/supports over the years with varying success. Ice also became my best friend and I always had several cold packs in the freezer waiting for me after working outside. Opioids were a gave me a somewhat calming effect but were too easy to become addicted to. I learned that most of them not only took the edge off the pain but also made my outlook more positive. Great mood enhancers! So I concentrated on using ice and continued to look for a better back support. Numerous x-rays. CT scans, and high resolution MRIs showed that L5 was compressed and rubbing on the sciatic nerve, causing the irritation and constant pain. It was so bad that if I made a three hour driving trip, I had to literally lift my right foot off the gas and place it on the brake. Not good. A patient of my wife's mentioned this DDS Lumbar Decompression Belt to her after hearing of my predicament. So I took the plunge and ordered this unit . It is not cheap but often solutions to complicated problems are expensive. The belt is well made and easy to use. It probably took me only five minutes to read the instructions and properly put it on. The practical theory is of course to decompress the affected vertebrate and take pressure off the offending nerve. And it does. Very few products in this day and age "under promise and over deliver." This just happens to be one of them. The one caution I would give you would be to go up one size over your pants size. I got an XL instead of an XXL and the fit is very tight indeed. Order one and try it. If it doesn't work out for you send it back under Amazon's 30 day return guarantee. This is a risk-free way to address a difficult problem. Good luck!

Finally : the perfect brace for back pain relief
This G2 is the end-all for those seeking relief from back pain after settling for other braces that fail to satisfy, limit too much of your mobility or are uncomfortable to wear. After 2 years of trying everything else - including medical avenues that included MBB, RF Ablation, and epidurals - I bought this from DDS. Wow. So comfortable to wear. The inflation of its compression cells works perfectly to alleviate those weary discs and pinch points of pain in my spine. 4 MRIs, Xrays, and pain management doctors put me thru everything except surgery (6 months waiting list to even get an appt with a surgeon in my area) - and I desperately looked to DDS for the answer. They hit it out of the park! I was about to try the DDS 300 - at 2x the cost - when I saw this one that claims the same effect, but offering more mobility. Well That is just what I wanted. And their claims are spot on. Fasten it around your trunk securely with the hook n loop fasteners - inflate to the comfy zone (just before the red area on the pump meter) and as this brace inflates, compression does its magic. It comfortably wedges between the pelic bone and rib cage to lift and expand the vertabrae joints - to give spacing that relieves the friction areas causing the pain. Its soft on the body due to the chosen material and the many air cells that are inflated, so bending and movement are still possible - but the compression response is instantaneous to maintain those gaps that relieve those pinch points - and the inflamed tissues get a break. I don’t know if long-term healing follows as yet - but I can tell you honestly - after 2 years of daily chronic pain, I am pain free while wearing this brace. Just FYI: My history - arthritis stricken areas of the spine (perhaps normal for 64 yrs aging) with disc herniations visible at L3-L4 area. No injury - this just came on 2 yrs ago. I have been on Opioid prescriptions for years to tolerate this pain. And this brace has enabled me to get back to normal activities I was suffering to achieve - until now. I can do my yard landscaping, ride my roadbike, and endure labor for many hours now. Before This brace - I was severely limited - especially in activity that required standing for an hour or more. This brace is the game changer for me. I recommend it 100% and hope others can gain the relief and mobility I have in weraing it. One look at it and you KNOW it is of the highest quality - the medical grade materials, design, and even “the feel of it” when you put it on. The pump is also top notch - with a face clearly showing the zone for safe inflation and the belt with its metal valve stem. You will NOT be disappointed. If ANY brace can help you - it is this G2!

No meds, just instant relief again and again.
I frequently wake up with nerve pain in glutes and back. If I put this item on and wear twenty minutes, it relieves the pain for full day. 😊

Relieves pain issue, yet Velcro weak.
Immediately felt pain relief, worn 3 days, needs to be snug, yet Velcro/attachment is very weak if doing any bending/twist/sitting/etc. Detaches. Actually tried numerous back/hip braces, Velcro on those stay, just don’t give much pain relif. Will give a few more days. Figure I’ll try putting a back lifting brace over it to keep in place
