Everybody Poos Mini Edition : Gomi, Taro: desertcart.co.uk: Books Review: Funny and effective! - My little boy loved this book! It helped a lot during potty training to take the fear out of poo! Review: Worth a go! - I'm not usually one to review books but felt compelled as I know what it's like when you little one is miserable and won't poo. Our nearly 3 year old had this issue for at least a year (sometimes it was worse than other times and sometimes you'd think she was better and then it would all go wrong again). After trying a softly softly approach, and a bit of tough love and Movicol, I did two things: 1) bought this book 2) bought a reward chart and promised special treats for every 7 stickers. One sticker awarded for pooing in nappy, 2 for potty and 3 for toilet. I'm sure the movicol (which she'd taken for nearly 6 months), her getting older and understanding anyway were big parts to this. But I think the combination of reward chart and the book made just as big a difference. For 2 weeks now she has been doing several poos a day! - Often she'll try and squeeze one out just to get a sticker. She found the book really funny. Pretty much the first night I read to her she did a poo in her nappy while I read it. Once she was comfortable and knew she could do one there we started stopping her half way through and putting her on the loo to finish. I think was key for us - get her to poo anywhere first, and worry about potty later. She's still on the Movicol and I'm still worrried that one hard poo will knock her back but I was suprised at how quickly things have turned around. She is a much happier little girl now. For the price, it's worth buying just because its quite funny anwyay!

A fun book about poo. Great for potty training reading.
Great illustrations of animals and it gets the message across that everybody poos. It’s great it also shows a potty, plus adults and kids using the toilet. I add some sound effects when reading and I’m always asked to read this again a second time. I recommend this to help potty / toilet training, without it being another boring literal book telling you what to do.

They do.
Yes, everyone does poo... everyone except my stubborn 2yo whom is either baking a diamond under high pressure or is trying to send me insane by refusing to go toilet. This book did go some ways to helping, and my 2yo did find it quite amusing. Is it the best written book you will ever come across? no. you will come to see as you are reading it, it has a terrible flow to it where the writer could have got to the point a lot more eloquently and quickly, but still nowhere near as grammatically challenged as a Thomas book (if you know you know) The pictures are sort of crudely done, in a childish way, but I suppose that is the target audience. Will it keep you enthralled and on the edge of your seat as you turn the pages? no. Will it magically make your darling child poop out the weeks worth food it's smuggling in its GI tract? No. Will it help explain the act in a fun easy to understand way? Yes.

Basic idea explained very well for children
I bought this because one of my 2.5 year old twins is holding onto her pooh for days and although large amounts of lactulose are eventually forcing it, I wanted her to know it's normal to pooh and everybody does it so bought a range of different books. They love looking at this one, it shows pooh, the connection between eating and poohing, that all animals and people of different ages do it, and it's a bit funny without being silly saying different shapes, sizes, smells etc... I would recommend it and buy it again.

Helped with toddler poo problems!
My little girl was having a few problems with doing poos on her potty after coming out of nappies and was starting to hold it. I ordered this book and we read it loads of times and she began to relax and it definitely helped her get over her fear. It's a well written but fast moving book with lovely touches of humour that made my little girl laugh. Great book. Would thorough recommend. If your toddler enjoys books anyway it's a great way to help them with getting to grips with potty training.

Not as expected
Could have been illustrated better with more emphasis on the human.

Such a fun book!
We love this book! The illustrations are lovely and the animals do seem as if they were pooing. I really enjoy reading it to my 3yo and he loves it too. Such a fun book to read with anatomically correct illustrations for boys that shows the relation between all living beings through the process of pooing.

Funny book. Our baby loves it and recites it. We had a problem , like some parents do, with a potty training process in poop area and the book helped us to solve it. Some kids consider poops are disqusting and they are scared that they can do something like that. Our child learnt from this book , not parents words :) that " everybody eats - everybody poops"

encore un de ces livres que les enfants adorent sans que les parents comprennent pourquoi... en tout cas c'est un tout petit format, donc pratique pour ranger à côté du pot...
