The hold together. Not very thick.

I’m giving this product five stars even though it did not work for me. I bought the screws to mount the plates on my Tesla Model Y. You can see from the photos that the two fasteners are different. The Tesla screws are smaller and have a much finer thread. This product looked great but didn’t work for me. As always, Amazon made it right.

My bumper was stripped out and these fit snug in the stripped holes nicely. They also self tap into plastic easily.
