This is the type of low grade sloppyness that China used to be known for (which is why we used to buy from Tiawan). The screws are covered in dirt, fine metal dust and particles and is very poorly machined with lots of sharp edges. So be prepared to disassemble and try not to cut yourself. Clean everything the way the factory should have done. Knock off the sharp edges and loose pieces of metal left from bad machining and re-assemble with an appropriate lubricant. When you get done you have a very workable product. For this price and out of a modern well process managed and quality audited Chinese factory I should not have to do any of this. They are buying cheap, selling above the value point this demands and expecting the customer to fix the rest. Just a bit better than Harbor Freight out of the box. Wilton used to be decent - this is disappointing, they can do better. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Nice vice for the money. *by on Reviewed in the United States 27 October 2025* It's foreign made which was a little disappointing coming from a brand like Wilton but overall it's a good vice and works well.
