U.S. Pool Supply Pool Skimmer - Above Ground Pool Floating Surface Skimmer

I have a 12-inch Aquastrong sand filter and the original skimmer that I bought only had one inch connection s. The pump was pulling water so fast it was constantly cavitating the pump. I upgraded to this skimmer and it worked much better because it has much bigger connections. The only problem that I had was that I had lots of pine straw falling into my pool and it was drawn to the skimmer but would not go down in the skimmer which was probably a good thing. If you have a large pool and a large pump I would highly recommend this skimmer.

My Costco Bestway pool did not come equipped with a surface skimmer. After an entire season of manual skimming I thought I would try this little retrofit skimmer. WOW! Yes, its a little finicky. Yes, it's not the sturdiest piece of equipment, but once I got it dialed in, in only a couple of hours it had skimmed every last bit of floating debris, bugs and all, off of the surface of my pool. Instructions a little lacking (as usual), but somewhat helpful. Comes with three mounting brackets so you have to determine which one works best for your pool (I have a tubular frame). Seems to be more stable at the higher end of the mount, so I adjusted my pool fill level accordingly. Yes, I had to block the second filter inlet to get enough suction to make the thing work effectively (used an inlet plug that came with the pool). But it looks like I won't have to do much if any manual skimming from here on out. Pretty good for under thirty bucks.

It looked exactly as expected so pleased there. Once I installed it, it felt a little bit flimsy. Otherwise I would’ve given it five stars. But it is staying in place and it seems to be working fine. Haven’t settle that, I’m thinking I would buy it again if they need a crisis. Time will tell how durable it is, so far so good.

Absolute junk. The top of the skimmer bucket floats. You can’t fit it in tight so it works as it should. If you have a pool with two suction ports to your pump, you are wasting your time. Not enough suction to do its job properly. Would not recommend buying. The one I purchased is already in the garbage.

I would definitely recommend this for anyone looking to keep your above ground pool cleaner with less work. This will drastically cut down on the amount of manual "net" skimming required. We have a 18' metal frame pool with no integral skimmer. It has 2 suction lines and 1 return line. The setup was a breeze with the included adapters and the clamp holds the skimmer in position well. We used one of the suction ports in the pool and left the other one alone. It still maintains great skimming using only one line and surface debris moves towards it from all around the pool. The floating lip allows the skimmer to stay just below the water line without having to adjust for changing water depth. It will well worth the low cost for the amount of time saved especially with kids that drag grass into the pool. The picture is after only 45 minutes of running.

Works great, specifically with the Bestway above ground pool that has DIAMOND shaped bars as the top ring. I have two inlets and an upgraded 3,000GPH pump, surface was crystal clear overnight and we get tons of bugs around this time of year. The basket is a little small, but I imagine that helps with more suction power as opposed to other brands that I have ordered over the years of "above ground pooling". Super easy setup if you've dealt with these skimmers before and it comes with several adapters to swap things out if necessary. Some people mentioned it floating up, yes this will happen if you don't CRANK down the screws that hold it in place and make sure the hose is clear of any air. I highly recommend and the price wasn't bad at all!

Easy to install. Does the job

I am very happy with how effectively this surface skimmer clears out debris and how well it fits my above-ground pool setup. It does exactly what it is supposed to do. The only downside is that the durability is slightly lacking, and I find myself needing to replace it every year. However, given the very reasonable price point, I don’t mind the annual replacement. It's a solid, budget-friendly buy that keeps the pool clean.

1.excelente funcionamiento 2.

There is no pump, u need your own. I added it to my system, and omg, this is the best money I spent. No more skimming with the pole. This takes all the crap off the top of the pool nicely. The floating ring seams like it’s not working, but when watch close, it skims the top of the pool.

This was a great value! Super quick install and keep the pool much cleaner 👌

Difícil de utilizar. No funciona del todo

Good value! Works fine skimming pool water!
