For peak season snow and possibly worse weather conditions you will definitely want a buffer or a balaclava under the mask. Other than that it's the same high quality material and stitching that provides an excellent product and one of the few sellers that do NOT photoshop their product onto photos. 6/5 Highly recommended. *2018* Brought this product for use when snowboarding. Wanted something to cover my nose and mouth that allows some breath-ability without the material adsorbing too much moisture. The material is of good quality with the fleece being durable so that fur does not end up in your mouth and the outside material repelling small amounts of water. The front mesh allows you to exhale the blunt of your breath and the sides for venting the excess breath as well as allowing small airflow in. There are 3 vertical Velcro straps that allow some adjustment as well as a pull cord to tighten the mask further. Overall product is as described by the seller. Temperature at time of use were 3 degrees to -5 degrees. From my own experience using this half face mask when snowboarding, there was no need to adjust the Velcro too tightly nor the need to use the pull cords, the nose bridge on my googles allowed it to pin down on the face mask holding it in position and the chin strap from my helmet kept it in place. There is a reason you would want to wear it loosely, this is because the inside of the mouth area is made of fleece and despite the mesh helping your breath to escape the fleece will absorb moisture and will eventually become very damp if not frosty. After an hour or so I would start pulling the face mask down when resting or on a ski lift simply to prolong it's use before it the fleece becomes fully damp and uncomfortable which is about lunch time. After this you will probably want lay it out to dry under the sun or have a spare mask/buffer handy if there is no sun. I honestly can't imagine a fix for the fleece adsorbing moisture yet as it stands this is a very good half face mask that is both warm on the inside and water repellent on the outside while giving you some airflow. Well deserving of a 5* I am considering buying another. Lastly some extras... 1) If worn with a balaclava you will look like a ninja from a certain video game, other people will also think you look like a ninja. Do you like looking like a ninja while tearing up the slopes? 2) Snowballs will go through the mesh. Don't get hit in the mouth. 3) Do not wear in high winds or snowstorm/blizzards as the face mask will no longer keep you warm. Cold face not fun. 4) Always carry spare masks or buffs.

This mask stays in position and does not move or slip down. It has good, secure velcro fastening at the rear and two pull cords on sides with buttons to secure front to chin and neck area to become windproof. It looks and feels good. I bought a few different face masks but the others made me feel like I could not breathe through them. This one is not tight on your face and feels comfortable allowing you to breathe easily through the vents and I recommend it highly! 😃

Bought it for work, where I work in a chilled warehouse (colder than a fridge) and where recently there has been a change in policy where you've to wear a mask at all times except for breaks. This WOULD be perfect except that the mesh is completely open and unfiltered which defeats the purpose of buying it. So I've made a small alteration to it allowing me to fit a HEPA filter over the holes and now it's great and safe. It's nice and warm and very comfortable to wear.

I bought this for working out in cold weather. It looks well made and good quality and is fully adjustable to fit you, but I find it doesn't stay in place very well when I am actively working and am always having to fiddle about with it, hence I have only given it 3 stars....but it would probably be fine if I was just walking about or riding a bike....just not that suited to what I bought it for and I would be using it that much.

I ordered this item after getting grime and sand in my face and mouth while cycling during my daily commute. Not a pleasant experience, I also bag munros in winter so thought it would be a worthwhile item to purchase. My first impression is that it is well designed and made and actually looks good, it also fits really well with drawstring adjustment and the Velcro fastenings seem to have a good grip. I haven't used it yet as conditions have improved, hence the four stars, so will update after this review after some use Update - have started using this to cover my mouth when travelling, it works fine, it's not really intended for summer use as it gets quite hot, but it will do me for that purpose for now. I think it will be brilliant for its intended use in colder conditions or if cycling. I have purchased a 2nd one. Thanks

What a great mask. It's really comfortable, the material is soft & the thickness is just right. Great colour & really warm plus I can actually breathe and wear my glasses too.

The material is awful and it doesn't sit right on youre face so I wouldn't recommend buying this

Just what I was looking for, I mean not in those colours, but it was more reasonable as a first buy, so I thought I would try it before a possible repurchase. The face mask is well made the velcro connection is nicely secure and it has some toggles to reduce gaps to the side. The vents are just what I needed to stop my goggles steaming up when on the road. I will give it a few weeks before I buy another, but so far so good.

Good face mask! Simple easy to put on. Half helmet keeps it in, doesn't fall off, breathable, keeps face protected from bugs. Plus it looks cool with my helmet visor down. Good value 👍

I have only tried it on since it is for cold weather riding. I tried it on with a 3/4 helmet and it fit well. I think it will help with the cold morning rides tio work since it is windproof and fleece lined.

2nd time buying this product over a two year span. The first one bought was stolen but I'm sure whoever has it still wears it to this day lol. I wore the raider style half-mask through the worst of a -40 Canadian winter and was still sweating. Awesome quality long-lasting material, super warm at an unbeatable price, and looks badass.
