Will this work with my canon t5i. lens 55-250mm?

Yes but this isn't a proficient device. Very hard to fine tune and figure out the weight system.

This would not be the correct stabilizer for a GoPro. A S-40 would be a better choice. Do a search for S-40 stabilizer...............Video Gear Direct

will it work with a canon vixia g20?

It should work though the lighter the camera the less stable I have found it to be. When I use my dslr on it I always mount my audio recorder as well to add that extra weight to make it even more stable. You shouldn't have any real problems, but if you can add extra weight to your camera do it.
