Here's why. Over time, copper tape can become brittle and crack when folded or incorporated into a hinge. Copper tape, while slightly more conductive and easy to tear by hand, also tends to oxidize over time. Conductive inks will work with your stickers, but some people find it tricky to ensure that they've used enough of it under the contact points of their electrical components, which is necessary for forming a solid physical and electrical connection. Conductive fabric tape is the best choice, because it is stronger and more flexible. The scraps may even be kept and saved as little "circuit bandaids," should you wish to reuse a Circuit Sticker LED that has lost its adhesion on its back side. While you will need to cut the fabric tape with scissors, teachers have reported that their students find the material easier to work with, because fabric tape connections may be easily made with careful overlapping of the material due to its conductive adhesive.
