My grandma had bought these a million years ago when they were sold to put hot wheels in! Lol so I’m glad that I was able to find some all these years later! Works great and they are a good size. I had another one with the pokey things sticking up and I hated it. This is so much easier and the threads fit perfectly. Easy to open, and keeps all your thread nice and organized. Love the size and how much it holds. Feels quite sturdy. I only had one size spool that was a bit too wide to fit. Love that I can see contents easily. Finally helped me organize all of my thread. Love it so much I ordered another!

Bought as gift, holds thread spools on both sides, can accomodate older spools and newer ones (most organizers seem to not accomodate older spools) but not large ones. Recipient very pleased.

This container is perfect. I piece my quiltscwith Aurifil thread. This container holds all of my large and small spools perfectly. I love that it stands and had a handle. It fits in a cubby in my sewing cabinet and is easily accessible and doesn't pop open.

It's sturdy and well made, but I wish it was a little deeper to accommodate the more modern spools that have a wider end. Other than that it's great.

I was skeptical of this case and how much it would hold. I bought it to hold all of my Aurifil 50 wt cotton thread. It is amazing. Each cell will hold the large spools of thread. For the small spools, I can fit 2 to 3 in each cell giving me a lot of extra room. The lids secure nicely but are easy to open. The whole case fits in the top drawer of my sewing machine cabinet giving me easy access to my thread when I need it. I highly recommend it!

For thread and matching bobbins you can’t beat this for the small amount of space this case uses. Thread and matching bobbins can be stored together at last. Case hold most sizes spools and all of the compartments can hold more than one spool of smaller threads. For instance 4 smaller Gutermann spools fit in one compartment along with room for the matching bobbins. Arranging your thread by rainbow gradients means never having to hunt too long to find a matching color for your fabric. The case itself is a pretty flexible/soft plastic. The dividers are not removable and are a little more stiff. The edges of the lid and case are a little rough and could be manufactured with smoother edges. Also my first case came with a broken hinge and case damage where the hinge mounted. I have asked for a replacement. The case was shipped with a shrink wrap of clear plastic around it which prevents scuffs and scratches during handling and shipping. It was also in two bags of bubble wrap plastic and paper packaging around the inside of the box, yet the hinge was still broken. This may be from damage at the factory. The latches seem very sturdy. I would use two hands to unlatch both latches at the same time to equalize the stresses on the latches when opening. When full of thread it will be heavy, so do not drop as this will probably crack the plastic, hinges or latches. The carry handle should help stop this from happening. All in all a clever storage device that protects thread from dust and light fading, stores matching bobbins with the threads, while you can arrange the thread by color size or use, and takes up a small footprint.

I have several of these and I've thought about writing a review several times, but just never got around to it. However, I saw another review that said it doesn't work for nail polish and I felt like I need to share my experience. I am an avid nail polish collector. I do my nails multiple times a week and enjoy having multiple colors in multiple finishes to choose from. These containers house almost the entirety of my collection and they do it exceptionally well. I am attaching pictures to show the different bottle types it accommodates. I tried to include at least one bottle from all the different (primarily indie and boutique) brands I own, including but not limited to: Holo Taco, Bee's Knees Lacquer (BKL), Lumen, Pahlish, Lurid, etc. Most are 15 ml bottles, but some are 12 ml or 5 ml. I also use them to organize other nail supplies such as nail oil and nail tape. Some nail polishes fit two to a slot and others don't fit in the single slots due to the height of their caps but fit slepndidly in one of the two double slots each case has. I do also want to clarify that these are traditional nail polishes as opposed to gel polishes. I don't own any gel polishes so I can't speak to whether or not they would work well to hold gel polishes. In one of my pictures, I also included two fountain pen ink bottles to show another possible use. I currently own 10 or so of these containers and have had my oldest for at least 5 years, but probably closer to 10 and it is still in perfect condition. I've never had any issue with the closures or with them being damaged in shipping. Fantastic organizers, I highly recommend them.

Saw this item - or one similar on a sewing video. It looked like a good idea. And it is. Finally, all my cottons are coloured coded, and finding them is a much easier job than the messy tin I used to keep them in

Es exactamente como lo describen, el plástico trasparente permite ver los hilos sin abrir, el broche de momento un poco rígido, seguro el uso lo alojará. Organicé muy bien los hilos y dejé de buscar en una bolsa el color que necesitaba. Muy buena compra.
