Kyoda Bedroom Alarm Clock, Metallic Black

I have had the same little bedside clock for longer than I can remember and it finally stopped working. I looked for a long time for a new one I liked and almost gave up until I spotted this cutie. My duvet cover is red and this clock looks great on my nightstand next to the red duvet. I wanted one that had an easy-to-find light button for the middle of the night when I wake up and want to check the time. Many of the ones I considered had buttons in the back for the light and I didn't want to feel around trying to find the right button in the dark. This one has a large light button right on the top so I don't even have to completely wake up to check the time at night - I just press the top of the clock. Its a really pretty and vibrant shade of red and the numerals are easy to read. I seldom need to use an alarm but it certainly has that capability. Plus it has the Seiko name, which I equate with durability and quality. I'm super happy with this clock and can recommend it!

I recently made the decision to remove technology from my bedroom (phone, tv, etc.), so I purchased this to use as an alarm clock. It fits the bill in that it's easy to set the time and the alarm, it doesn't take up much space on my night stand, and it always succeeds at waking me up. Basically what you would expect from Seiko in terms of good quality for a reasonable price. One point deducted because the battery cover is a little loose, and the ticking of the clock, while quiet in and of itself, sometimes causes it to rattle.

I have had a bit of bad luck with one of these Seiko alarm clocks in the past, I received one DOA, but it could have been poor handling. This one is good, simple, reliable. It is quiet, has a smooth sweeping seconds hand, which I am a sucker for, and a light. Not a fancy light, but plenty to catch a glimpse of the time in the dark without disturbing your partner. Alarm is simple, basic tone but ideal for waking you up. A piercing noise, but not incredibly loud. I am a hard sleeper, but this wakes me up every time. Snooze works as expected. For 25$ I am quite pleased with it. Yeah I could use my phone to wake me, but this is better somehow. These days phones do everything, but they are soulless and I use it far too much. It's nice to wake up to something other than a bleeting phone. 8/10, would buy again.

My Seiko alarm clock I’ve had for 15 years finally conked out. I ordered this new one and it is terrible. Very cheaply made with extremely imprecise controls. Not the Seiko quality I expected and especially not at this price.

It’s a good looking clock, don’t get me wrong. But it’s made cheaply and I can’t imagine it’s going to keep its good looks for long due to cheap plastic

Well needed a clock for our road trips inside the camper, and so why not get a clock that matches the color of the bus? Well we found this seiko green battery operated clock. It said it was silent, and boy indeed it is nearly silent in operation. It’s quartz and yet it doesn’t make a sound, no ticking, and it has a sweep seconds’s hand. It has an alarm which is easy to set and it gradually gets louder and angrier the longer you wait to turn it off. There is a button on top which is both for putting the alarm on sleep and for turning on the night light. Runs on 1 AA battery, which was thoughtfully included with purchase, imagine that! All in all a great, silent alarm clock. Seiko, but made in china.

Seiko bedside alarm clock is fine. Doesn't tick too loudly

I ordered a simple alarm clock, and what I received made me laugh out loud. The clock came with two different AA batteries, one Duracell and one off-brand Chinese battery with random labeling. They’re not even from the same brand, and they look like they were picked out of someone’s junk drawer. Not sure if this was a factory issue or repackaged return, but it feels unprofessional. For something as basic as an alarm clock, I expect at least a matching set of batteries, or none at all. This kind of careless packing doesn’t give me confidence in product quality. If you’re going to include batteries, please make them consistent and new. Otherwise, don’t include any at all.

The alarm clock was exactly what I had ordered and it arrived precisely on the scheduled date. Thank you.

Great clock pretty two

I love that it is vintage styling, the colour green is also sort of vintage and I like the dial, numbers are dark enough and hands are very visible. It's silent, that's also why I bought this non-ticking analog clock. As for the "glow in the dark hands", not so much. They will glow if a strong light is directed at the clock for about 10 seconds, but the glow in the dark hands only last about that same amount of time (10 seconds) in the dark. However, the light is FANTASTIC! It's quiet to press on top of the clock, easy to find in the dark, easy to press and the light is a soft, glowing yellow also what I would think is a sort of vintage style lighting. Very nice and I'm completely happy with this clock. I may even purchase another Seiko clock like this.

It was supposed to be quiet, but after one small fall from the nightstand onto carpet - there’s a ticking sound continuously. Like others have mentioned, the glow in the dark hands aren’t bright enough to tell the time at night - but the little light you can light up using the snooze button is soft on the eyes. If not for the ticking sound, I’d have loved it.

This is a very accurate and useful alarm clock.
