It's got a nice moderately dense foam that has a good bounce-back, and has lasted for a while with no deflation at all. I will say if you like soft memory foam, this item isn't for you.The removable material covering the foam is sturdy, I've had no issues with wear except one small tear at the end of the zipper. The grip pad on the bottom is still fine, and works well even on carpet.This is probably more to do with my not-ideal leg placement, but the angle of the foam is a bit rough for my ankles after a while. Maybe it's an inch too thick? If I flip the shallow slope to the front, it works better, but then my feet slide forwards off the pad.
