That's what I said when I first put these on. It took some patience and strong will to get my self to the point where just having these on wasn't causing such raging waves of agony. I found that if you actually apply them to the areola rather than the nipple, it's much less painful, and you can head lower down as you adjust. the amount of tug these can take without falling off is truly amazing. They work very well for weights, too. The teeth on these (the four dots mentioned in other reviews) are very hard, and even though they're there to provide cushioning, I've found they're firmness only increases the pain, especially when you're getting into hardcore tugging and weighting. Be warned that extensive or repetitive use of a hardcore nature could cause some scarring on the nipple and areola. We've taken to using them over a wifebeater and this provides just enough cushioning to allow rougher play without any negatives. They've been used vertically and horizontally with no bending or damage, and had the full weight of my torso on them in both positions. They've held up to a gallon of water. Very sturdy.

As another reviewer of these clamps admitted, I used to have my nipples pierced and loved it! My wife used to put her vibrator on the beads and I swear I was having nipplegasms. We made the silly assumption that this was returnable, since it was part of the Amazon Prime shipping deal. That's not the case, it's not returnable. The quality of the build was marginal at best, and it has no adjustments to ease the tension on the clamp. Many nipple clamp devices a screw mechanism which lets you increase or decrease the tension amount for those with different tolerance levels. In addition the "textured rubber padded tips" are just cheap hard plastic-like material, not rubber padding. The pad quality is akin to someone just carving up a piece of plastic which offers no relief as a rubber pad would. So yes, it hurts. It hurts a lot, but at a level not good for a novice for sure.

OUCH!!! These clamps are painfully tight as a few others have noted. If that's what you're looking for, these are for you; but, they're more than I can tolerate. Appear to be well made and durable. The size is good and the black chain is hot. Maybe my poor nubs will eventually get used to the pain.

I’ve been using clamps for many years, off and on, but a couple years ago, my trusty ol’ silver clover clamps finally bit the dust. I tried replacing them with a set of adjustable clamps, and those were not even worth half the price I paid for them. They kept falling off. On a female body, they may be great. For mine, not so much. I read the reviews saying these were stronger than most clamps, and decided I needed to try them. Still, I anticipated they would be too strong. And they were at first, even though that particular part of my body is not very sensitive quite unfortunately. (When I got pierced several years ago, I barely felt it at all — the piercing did increase my sensitivity, however. Unfortunately, it migrated, and I am no longer pierced. A bit of the extra sensitivity remains, but nothing like it was.) But these clamps… Despite my low sensitivity, they were indeed very intense at first. _Finally!_ I could finally enjoy the feeling of desperate pleasure I had longed for! I’ve been using them about 5 days a week for the last month, and at this point, they are just right. Not too intense, but still intense enough. I don’t know whether I have gotten used to them or the springs have softened, however. When I first tried them, I wanted to yank them off immediately. But I resisted, and it soon felt amazing. Still, I did have to take them off in five minutes or less. Now, I can leave them on indefinitely and they feel about the same as my old silver clover clamps. When I want to feel more than that, I pull on them. And, at the height of arousal, I pull them off in one quick motion, with the jaws still clamping down on me. It’s ecstasy. If any of this review resonated with you, or you think, “That sounds really hot!” then I encourage you to try these clamps. For those who have never used this sort of item before, you do want to start with something lighter, and _especially_ if you have very sensitive nips. If you’ve tried others before and found them somewhat lacking, then this is exactly what you want! Or, if you want to really bully your sub, and you like providing lots of aftercare, then I’d also suggest this specific item. Overall a good value, and I am hoping to enjoy this purchase for a very long time to come!

These things don't mess around. It takes patience to get past the initial intense feeling these provide. Once you do they are a nice toy to keep around for special play time. They will make you remember you had them on.

I have a lot of experience with various kinds of clamps, including clovers like these. This is the tightest, most painful I have ever used. To say they hurt is an understatement. It took me several days just to be able to let them fully close, and after a week of trying I'm up to 15 seconds of full closure. This is definitely only for those who are looking for intense pain.

I like extremely hard nipple play. I can handle clover clamps easily. These I didn’t like as much as the plain and the rubber spiked same brand. They don’t open very wide either. I’d recommend the step down from these. The primals.
