No instructions but it is ok, it is just a push of a button like a regular flashlight so no instructions needed.Three indicator lights on the USB/micro USB area, two lights is for charging this unit (red light - charging; green light - fully charge); the other one is for charging a phone or other electronic device- light indicator means a device is connected.For the Lumen intensity as specified on the description, 2000 lumen is for the high intensity, the box that comes with it shows 1850 Lumens and it is for the low intensity. The SOS red blinking light is not yet applicable for me and hopefully never.Awesome during the first time I used it on the lake! The other fisherman around me are amazed from the intensity of light that comes from this device. Warning! Always aim the light on the ground.
