It seemed to work fine for her for a couple months. Then I used it one day to push one of the blinds down to the floor after pulling it down from the top. I probably should have just used my hand to get it down to the floor, but I have a bad back and didn't want to bend over that far. Unfortunately, the plastic hook at the end of the rod broke off. It's made of plastic that is only about 1/8 inch in diameter. Had it been made of metal, like the rod itself, it probably would not have broke. I'm giving it 2 stars only because it lasted a while for my wife.
