Facial tanner tanning lamp 12 tubes - Solarium

You MUST read the manual (just five pages in English), you need to assess your skin type and check you don't fall into the category of those who shouldn't use it - those tending to freckle or those who have more than 16 moles (2mm or larger on their body) or have next of kin who have skin cancer (!)...it is a lengthy list. Every skin type starts with a five minute session so plug it in, press the button at the bottom of the doors to open the doors then open them wide, the unit can be tilted to get a comfortable angle. Put the glasses on ready to go, press the button just above the flashing "00" to set the timer to "5" ( the timer goes up 5 mins with each press) then put the goggles over your eyes - the tubes light up and tanning starts 3 seconds after the timer is set (press the button under the display to stop the session). You need to be close to the tubes - the manual says no closer than 25cms (10 inches) and the further away the less UV you receive. Your skin type dictates how long later sessions should last. 48 hours between sessions. Be careful when carrying the unit - there's a handhold set into the back (no other reason for it to be there) but it has no grip and the unit wants to slip out of your hand - feels like there should be a rubber grip strip. Other than that the device is well made in that kind of plastic that doesn't feel "plasticky". For those who worry about obtaining replacement tubes they are available from Amazon, in both blue and pink, £39.99 for three (at time of writing). It will be a while before you need them, barring accidents - they last 300 operating hours according to the manual, 500 operating hours in the Amazon tube listing.

My wife uses the tanning lamp and is well impressed with its build and the ease of using it. The delivery of it was not so good took over a week for the item to be delivered.

The design of the stand doesn’t allow you to open the Tanner at all. In the end I broke the stand off to enable me to use it, although I wouldn’t recommend that anyone else does this as it rocks without the stand. The actual tubes work and if it wasn’t for the design of the stand would be a good product. However, as it it is, it is disappointing

Absolutely love it. I have done 3 x 15 min sessions in a week which for any frequent tanning shop member isn’t a lot. My face, neck and top of my chest are brown. I do sit quite close, it doesn’t get too hot and stays at a comfortable temperate. I love it. I won’t go back to a tanning shop now, I will just self tanner on my legs (just getting the hang of that but practise makes perfect) I am using Skinny Tan coconut mist, really easy to apply. The thought of going back to a sunbed shop scares me but now I have this I really don’t need to. There are some negative reviews of the product which made me skeptic all but I am really pleased to say I have no problems with mine whatsoever, it tilts perfectly and folds away nicely too. It works but I have to put my face very close to it, after a year or so I had to order new tubes and tried to change them but did not succeed to change them though that was my fault.

This is a very sturdy, good quality build, piece of equipment. It sits neatly in my dressing table ready for use. I've only used it twice so far - I'll update this review when I've had it longer. Easy to use straight out of the box. Arrived extremely well packaged and with prompt delivery. I'm looking forward to a healthy glow the more I use it. I also have eczema on my ankles so am going to use it for that. My skin responds well to the sun. I think I'm going to love it Will let you know 12 April update Well I've had the tanner for five weeks now. Used it for 3 weeks at 5 mins a day then 2weeks st 10 mins. I have achieved that very healthy looking brown glow I was hoping for! Can highly recommend
