Great tool let down by the instructions that are printed so small that I can’t read them. I was hoping it would have a function that others have, where you can automatically calculate the angle to set on your mitre saw without having to calculate it from the measured angle. It doesn’t appear to do that, although perhaps the instructions say something? But I can’t read them! The off switch only turns off the lcd display, you need to hold the switch for 5 seconds to actually turn it off, that’s a daft function. If I didn’t know that, I would be turning it ‘off’ by pressing the ‘off’ switch and wondering why the stupid small button cell battery keeps going flat. Again the instructions probably would help, but I can’t read them.

Once in a blue moon, you'll convince yourself to buy that tool you've been looking at for months but never committed due to it's gimmicky appeal..... which then turns out to be a complete unicorn! Some magical beast which suddenly transforms how you work. This is mine. Always looked at one, but i had my trusty square to hand and that did it for me. Even if sometimes I brushed the odd suspect angle under the rug and pretended no one would see it. But this has been a revelation. It's been the backbone of my workshop table build this week and feel kinda sheepish at having taken so long to get it. Extremely accurate (even checked it against my square!) Ruler connection feels slightly floppy, but i think that's just because the main body is so robust. Very clear to read display, and unless there's some kind of pilot error it should give plenty of years service. Yeah, there are plenty cheaper.... but I'm glad I didn't buy them. Highly recommend.

This is a fantastic tool that every DIYer needs if they are taking on any more advanced project that require precise angles. The quality is really excellent, and the ability to tighten the bevel allows for really accurate measurements to be taken. I personally would not use this to confirm 90 degree angles, a decent speed square does quicker, but for any other angles this is what I reach for.The main reason I bought this was to take the precise incline angle for a flight of stairs. I needed to replace the banister spindles, but had to make my own due to them being non-standard. With this I was able to take the exact angle of incline and transfer this to my mitre saw to make the cut for the bottom and top of each spindle. I would not have got such a good finish without this precision.

This product works well but it’s near impossible to to fix it at an angle which is a shame. I returned the item because of this, but overall it seemed well built and for the average joe I think this product will serve them well.
