When the system works, you'll get a couple beeps from the transmitter and your throttle gets cut to 50%. I've had it give a warning and continued that 50% throttle for 20 seconds, I did it in a controlled environment taped down to my toolbox, got 30 seconds, repeated the test with another battery and stopped counting after 200 seconds.. A week later while flying with a couple buddies over the soybean field, I got my 2 beeps, aimed it towards me, and then it cut power hard.. found it a month later as the beans dried up, less the 48 hours from harvest. In short, it might beep, it may not, (one of my buddy's doesn't beep, we all bought 2 different planes each). The beeps means start paying extra close to your environment, hopefully you weren't too far out like me. **Q: Where would i get a replacement plane if this one bites the dust?
