Pattern Transition Mask literally saved my hairs life. I had been using another well known brand for years that was discontinued and to add to that, the quality was not the same as it had been in times past. Moreover, I had recently had used chemicals in my hair and was noticing that my long thick hair was breaking off badly. I kept it moisturized, used oils, and nothing was working. II thought that I would give Pattern a try. As soon as I washed it out. I noticed my hair felt STRONG. It had slip and when I went to comb through it, there were no clumps of broken damaged strands of hair on my comb and no shedding of hair in my tub and bathroom sink as there had been before. It has been two weeks and my hair is still strong and is feeling better and looking better then it has in years. I will be getting more of Pattern products and making the Transition Mask a regular part of my hair routine. This stuff is worth every single cent.

I use this on my daughter’s 4b hair before we shampoo. I leave it on for about 20 minutes, then follow with a clarifying shampoo, and every time I am so happy with the results. Her hair is clean, but doesn’t feel completely stripped. After following with a deep conditioner, and then styling, her curls are maintained. When I don’t use this on her hair, because we are in a rush to complete wash day, I can definitely tell a difference in shine, bounce of her curls, and overall moisturization.

I have 4C hair. It’s thick, and it’s long but it’s heat trained. Great if your ends don’t look haggard and you’ve got thick hair to rock a blow out. Not so great when you want to do a more natural look, like a cute twist out. Well I’ve used this product two times now, mostly after swimming when I know it needs some extra TLC due to the chlorine. The instructions say to leave it on your hair for only 10 minutes but I have 4C, low porosity hair. So I need my deep conditioners and hair masks to sit much longer than 10 minutes to even begin taking in the goodness of those products. With this mask, I generously apply it to all my problem areas, in and between my roots to the tips of my hair and edges. I then comb through my hair, since it works for me like a detangler. I then neatly plop my hair up and put it in a shower cap, then sit under my steaming cap for 30 minutes on maximum heat. My hair feels so soft by the time I go to rinse it out in the shower. Now even some of my most stubborn tips/hair ends curl and get little ringlets, versus my twist out looking twisty everywhere but the tip ugh! IYKYK, and now I KNOW. Get this, you won’t be disappointed because it does what it says it does. Treats severely damaged hair, and helps bring it back to its healthy and natural form.

Love this product. The hair mask has a thick, medium-weight, ultimately silky slip texture and light pleasant scent. I sometimes tend to use it and leave it in for the full day as a wash and go style, because it feels so slippery-silky in my hair. However, unfortunately the silkiness effect doesn't remain after it is washed out.
