MAXBEAR CTR-003 Battery, (Upgraded) 2200mAh Li-ion New 0 Cycle Internal Replacement Battery for 3DS New 2DS XL 2DS Game Console with Repair Tool Kit

I got this battery to replace the original in my Japanese 2DS, since the old one wouldn’t hold a charge for more than an hour and a half. After swapping in this MAXBEAR battery, the battery life is way better! Now I can play for three to four hours before dropping down to the second bar. It holds a charge much longer and doesn’t drain quickly. Just a heads up though: installing this in a 2DS is not super easy. The battery compartment is snapped into the unit and the whole thing snaps together with plastic clips that are easy to break if you’re not careful. I took my time, went slow, and only broke one clip, but it’s definitely a bit nerve wracking if you haven’t opened a 2DS before. The battery fit perfectly in the 2DS—no issues with the size or shape at all. Once I got it in, it worked just like the original. If you’re comfortable with tinkering and taking stuff apart, this is a great upgrade, especially since it’s the highest capacity battery you can get for the 2DS. Totally worth it if your original battery is fading.

1 year review, only battery that worked and gave me a significant improvement to battery life. I think with battery saver on and this battery with level 4 brightness I get about 4-5 hours of gameplay time that's not including standby time. Really good battery!

Product took an unacceptable amount of time to reach its destination and when it arrived, it was shipped with an incompatible screwdriver. Why even advertise that it comes with a tool if it’s not the one for the intended product.

It will work in a 2DS XL however it doesn’t quite fit right. You’ll find that the case doesn’t quite close the way it should as this battery is a bit too tall. It is usable though.

Got this for my New 2DSXL that was dying within minutes of booting up off a full charge. I have had my system in standby all day and the battery life is still at full capacity. made it brand new again. I'll be getting 2 more for my Switch Pro Controllers.

I replaced my 2DS XL battery with this because I thought it was dying as the battery lasted about a day. After installing and fully charging I get about a day and a half out of this one. Thats not constant play and that is also with turning odd in between use. I feel like it’s not much better than the stock battery that was in there. Not enough to justify the replacement price imo.
