Do you mean blade? If you got the green one, simply press the rigged Grove near where the blade is and pull. Not sure about the orange.

I wouldn’t bother with this tbh. Nowhere near as good as a proper blade. It is safer, largely due to the fact if I doesn’t cut cardboard well it won’t cut you well either

Yes, it is suitable. I use it all the time for cutting cardboard boxes in my area. In my case the size is not as important, bUt I can cut to A4and quite often do. Hope this helps.
