Great gift for a 7 year old. The appearance of the talking bird is very cute and it seems easy to use. It comes in a little cage and repeats sounds. The birthday girl was very happy.

So cute! Our niece (8 yrs old) loved this gift for her birthday. I switched the on off switch all the way to the left (off the demo mode) and recorded "Happy Birthday (her name)" and when she opened up the gift and pressed the button, she heard the recorded message. She thought it was so cool! My daughter loved these birds when she was that age too. Would definitely recommend this gift. You can record any short message into the bird. So fun! My 4 year old daughter adores this bird. She has to bring it to the store with us and everything. It's really cute and doesn't annoy me like some other toys do. The felt material is prone to catching dust so you'll have to clean it up now and again, but it's really not a big deal. For $20, it's definitely worth it.

I just got this little guy in the mail. Right out of the package, the paint on his frill and around the eyes is already peeling. Considering he's supposed to be pet along the frill, I give it a matter of days before it gets significantly worse. Removed one star for this. The chameleon himself is wonderful though; his sounds are adorable, without being too loud or obnoxious. He responds well and quickly to both petting and talking. The body is a soft rubber-like material, which does help him seem more real. I found myself cooing over this thing pretty quickly as a result. The music feature is fun too. I put on some lo fi music while he was in music mode, and he did a good job lighting up to the beat. Overall, a great toy for the money. It's just too bad about the paint, because if it wasn't for that, this would easily be a five star toy. Still, if you or your child don't mind the paint peeling, it's worth getting and enjoying.

This toy was a complete success. The Indie bird is very interactive and realistic, responding to voices and repeating sounds, which makes it a lot of fun for children. It has more than 20 different sounds and reactions, so playtime never gets boring. The cage is colorful, sturdy, and easy to carry. I loved that the bird reacts when you talk or whistle to it, as it keeps children entertained for quite a while and stimulates their imagination. It's an ideal toy for children aged 5 to 7, especially those who love animals. It doesn't require any real care, but it offers an experience very similar to having a pet. Excellent quality and great value for the price.

Super cute chameleon. I use this as a class pet in my classroom. My students are able to take it home over the weekend. It is very durable.

Very cute and fun to play with. Lots of detail and activities. My only complaint is whoever packaged the item put it in a larger than item Amazon box with no packing so the toy was sliding back and forth. The toy has most of it exposed in a partial toy box so not having it wrapped in bubble wrap or some other packing could have caused it to break. Typically Amazon packages are well wrapped inside the box but not this time.
