TEETER FreeStep Gel Seat Cushion Cover

Definitely made my recumbent bike more comfortable. Nice cushion. Fits well. Doesn't slide or come off.

I absolutely love my Teeter. But the seat definitely sucks lol. I have the model with the thicker seat too but it still just hurts my butt 😂. The seat material is far too rigid/hard. So I knew I needed some sort of padding to make it more tolerable. When I found this gel cover, I was excited. I’m not really sure what I was expecting, but it certainly was not a Teeter branded gel seat cover, which is what I got! It came in a Teeter box and everything which I thought was cool. This meant it wasn’t some aftermarket product that wouldn’t fit well, and I was right! It fits great! However, I can tell they tried to make the cover in a way that it could feasibly be used on other types of seats or models (like a bike for example) because I will say the drawstring type closure/tightener is waaaay too long. I’ve pulled the drawstrings and tightened it down as much as my hands and strength will allow, and also tied a knot to keep it in place, but there’s a ton of excess cord that I don’t really know what to do with except let it hang there which is stupid, cut it (also stupid) or wrap it around something and tuck it away (I did this one). I believe because of the method of fitting it, after I start using my Teeter for just a few minutes, the gel cover does slip out of place just a tiny fraction. It’s not annoying enough to be irritating or to stop exercising to adjust, but I do wish they had gone with a better fitting method like elastic instead of drawstring, or even better, both. You’re at the mercy of your strength tightening and tying down that drawstring if you want it to stay put. It isn’t as “non-slip” as I would expect. All that aside, I’m still very pleased I bought it because now I can exercise in much more comfort than before. Get one, you won’t regret it!

Well made and very comfortable and fits very well on the seat. It makes it much more comfortable and easier to do a longer workout. Me or my wife don't find that it moves and not sure about why the negative reviews. When you put it on the seat loosen the string all the way and mske sure the material is on every part of seat evenly and pull the string as much as possible to tighten and if need be tie a knot to keep secure. I have not need to tie a knot but if it loosen over time I will. I've had other covers like this and they may loosen but just tie a know and it won't loosen up. Don't hesitate just buy it we'll worth the money.

Provides some cushion but not enough. Moves a lot. Not able to secure the cover to stop the movement.

If you have a Tetter with a regular seat then you will love this. The Tetter is an awesome piece of equipment but the seat was a little uncomfortable. This makes the Tetter awesome and much more comfortable. Love it!

I love the cushion! I’m always humored by the complaining reviews. My motto in life is I’m going to figure out how to make the answer a resounding YES! So yes it slides a bit but that is easily solved by placing a terry cloth face towel over the seat or you could use a silicone tie it over the seat tie at the bottom and then apply the cover. I personally wouldn’t use tape because I’ve had my share of experience with and it wasn’t great. But tape is an option. To my surprise I was able to get the cushion tied securely enough around the seat that it has no room to move. Finally I lowered the seat one notch to accommodate for the height and it is a great match. I love my teeter F1 and a little discomfort wasn’t going to stop me. Problem resolved!

I am keeping it only because I'm going to cover it with a suitable material, and at least it's the right size. It is terribly uncomfortable as constituted, and it slips around if you're on it for very long. It is definitely not worth $39. It is made of a hard plastic honeycomb material and very uncomfortable to sit on. Why it's called a gel seat, I will never know. I expected something more like a decent bicycle seat. It's not. Save your money. Here's an opportunity for a third party to manufacture a seat that works well with Teeter.
