A: The one s has an IR blaster and receiver so this isn't required

**Q: Do these units have a visible flashing LED?**
A: I haven't noticed that on mine.

**Q: I have a marantz nr1200 receiver; will this work with the existing remote control if i plug this into the ir port on the receiver?**
A: No, this item is an IR emitter.  If your Marantz is in a position where the existing remote doesn't work you need to plug an IR receiver (looks similar to the emitter but the head is a bit bigger) into the marantz IR port, you can then locate the head of the IR receiver where you can aim the existing remote.

**Q: would this work with a smart remote app to use on a projector?**
A: I use one to operate my promethean projector, with alexa

I use a magic eye device to change the channel on the box in another room connected to a HDMI spltter. After a lot of problems with it I changed the sender cable and it made some other changes I had made work.

This was just what I wanted, but after reading the information and reviews, I really had no idea what it did. So here's my explanation, and I hope it helps. The metal end plugs into an infra red receiver device. In our case this is a Powermid pyramid receiver which can take a signal from another room. You then hang the other end over the front of the device you wish to control (in our case a Sky HD box). So we have the Sky box in the lounge. It is wired to connect to the kitchen and bedroom (by HDMI), and we can now control it from those rooms via the Powermid system. This lead allows us to position the lounge Powermid high up away from the Sky box and the lead takes the IR signal down to the front of the Sky box.
