The Matcha Maker Starter Kit comes with everything you need to make authentic fresh matcha at home. The machine is designed to store, grind and whisk our organic leaves for the highest-quality matcha. We include three, four gram packets of our Matcha Leaf blends so you can sample each one before subscribing or purchasing more directly from us. We also send a booklet with operating instructions, tips, tea farm information and recipes to get you started on a daily ritual of freshly-ground matcha. “Freshly-ground” means the finest characteristics of the tea are retained longer than they would be in pre-ground matcha powder, much like coffee beans stay fresh longer than pre-ground coffee. Using the Matcha Maker easily ensures you’re getting the best available matcha for your latte or other matcha recipe, anytime.

Soon after receiving it truly felt lackluster. Matcha is fine but that’s about it, sometimes clumpy but not the end of the world. I wasn’t truly disappointed until I had a run in with their subscription service online. After months of receiving updates via email and having a subscription account I tried to cancel and order and I couldn’t log in or even troubleshoot via “forgot password”. After contacting the service (which granted was a quick response) they sent me an activation email and said “ We have checked your account setup and the fact that we can send an account invite means the activation was not completed when you created your account.”. Since I had been receiving emails about my account points for months and was never sent an email to fully activate my account I’m not sure how one would ever “fully activate” their account without contacting them via email first. Machines with a more luxe branding need friendly usable user interfaces, websites and customer service. Especially if users are subject to be lifelong customers via tea leaves exclusive to their brand. I will be selling my machine on Facebook marketplace to not have to deal with their subscription service again.

A: Our ceramic mill was developed to work exclusively with the unique size, shape, and condition of our leaves. To avoid permanent damage to the mill, we strongly recommend against using other leaves. In addition, grinding anything other than Cuzen leaves is considered outside of intended use. Any malfunction and damage caused by unintended use is not covered by the one-year warranty.
