Donโt let the name fool you. Speedy installation with no need for your toolbox!
I have annotated all of the photos, I suppose itโs just a handwritten instruction manual based on the provided instructions on the sleeve, from a customer perspective, and to show how really simple it is to install on the wrapping. I over-egged the installation, so I could take photos etc but Iโm sure I could have done it in 15-30 minutes.I found this after a lot of searching for phrases that would fit what I was looking for. Originally I had started to try and make something crafty using a cardboard box (& some sticky back plastic! Lol) before deciding to go pot luck on Amazon! I had no idea where to start but I knew what it looked like in my head! Couldnโt believe finding this, it matched the picture in my head plus so much more! Great concept, being flat was a plus because I donโt have much room behind the door. Also, because itโs a huge metal door (made wide enough for wheelchair access), and itโs disguised as wood for security purposes, the fact that this was completely tool-less was a huge draw! Now knowing what I was looking for I looked at a few others but kept coming back to the Snail Sakk. So I took a punt and brought it! Itโs a good large size and the material feels like felt but thatโs where the comparison ends. Itโs far higher end than felt and it would take a huge weight and still not fray or rip. Basically youโd need a build up of about a yearโs post and it would still probably not tear! Itโs beautifully designed and finished to a very high standard. The very sweet Snail is embroidered and finishes the look off perfectly! Iโm very happy with it! A little idea, if I may be so bold, maybe an option or alternative to this already amazing product. Iโm thinking of it as an envelope, so there could be an option for a window approximately 3/4 way down so you can see when there are letters delivered. Only because the material is of such a good quality and thick that on occasion you canโt tell if you have letters because, in my case, I hadnโt velcroed it closed properly so it had a bulge that looked like there was something in it. If you read to the end, well done!

A decent solution to keep your mail in check and away from petsโฆ.just about.
For 9 months our Border Collie puppy, Storm, had never taken an interest in the post. The last month, however, itโs all become very interesting. Sheโs been exercising her secretarial skills by intercepting the mail, opening and reading it. And then eating it. Iโm not so bothered about the junk mail, but sheโs not prejudiced and will eat any bank statement, bill, or missed delivery card that comes through the letter box. Noticing that most of my debit/credit cards are coming up for replacement in the next couple of months I thought Iโd better take steps to prevent them from being nothing but a smelly soft lump in the back garden. Now, the obvious solution is a mail cage fitted to the inside of the door. However, we have a cupboard right next to the front door which would prevent the door being fully opened if as cage was fitted. Not ideal, so I went looking for other solutions and found this post catcher by Snail Sakk.Itโs a basically a canvas bag, and comes with two adhesive-backed Velcro strips which you place above and below your letter box, and then attach the bag to. Itโs big enough to hold anything that comes through the letter box, including small-boxed Amazon deliveries. For keeping post off of the floor it does the trick. But, is it dog proof? Well, not entirely. In fairness, the manufacturer doesnโt claim that it is, and even says that it wonโt necessarily stop pets from getting to your mail. There are two issues. Firstly, when the postie comes to the door it attracts the dogs attention, so they will be drawn to investigating the mail bag. Secondly, even if the postie hasnโt been, theyโre attracted to the new flappy thing hanging from the door at their eye level. Storm has pulled the bag off of the door half a dozen times since weโve had it. Fortunately, being Velcro, it hasnโt caused any damage to the door and Iโve just rehung it. It has stopped her getting to the mail on most occasions though. Once, she did manage to get at the mail inside, but on the other occasions Iโve come home to a sheepish looking dog and the bag on the floorโฆ.but the mail still inside and intact. So, for the purposes the manufacturer intended it, it works very well and installs in two minutes. For the purpose I intended it for, itโs helped reduced incidents of digested mail but not eliminated it. Despite that, given the ease of installation, product quality and it does what the manufacture claimed it does I must still award it a recommended review.

Tidy accessory that works well
Having just had a new composite door installed, I really did not want to be drilling holes in it to affix a mail catcher. My principal requirement was to have a device that caught my mail and stopped it lying on the floor. This was for 2 reasons: firstly security - if I am away for a few days, I donโt want mail strewn on the floor to be an obvious indication to the undesirable opportunists that I was away. Secondly access - mail lying on the floor impedes opening of the door (door open inwards and has little clearance above the floor). When looking at designs available, the classic cage did not meet my requirements - ugly, bulky, needs screwing to door and does nothing to meet the security need. However, the snail sakk is discrete, was available in a colour to match my door, attaches with Velcro (no physical damage to door required) and looked like it met my needs. I have been very pleased with it, itโs unobtrusive, stylish, very well made and catches the mail perfectly. It is easy to check for mail and empty. The only negative, in my opinion, is that the design incorporates a see through window towards the bottom of the bagโฆgreat for seeing if you have mail (although the mail does not always drop down to the bottom, so can remain unseen) but defeats the object of collecting mail discretely during short absences. It would be good to have a version available without this window - I have spray painted mine, so it is now suitably obscure.I donโt have pets - but, suspect that the snail sakk might not be the best solution for homes with a poorly behaved animal

Great way to keep your dog from chewing on mail as it comes through the mail slot
I was a bit sceptical about this product but I love it. Quite unobtrusive hanging on the inside of the door and my dog no longer chews on mail and punctures credit cards being delivered to the house ๐คฃ. Large size so mail fits in easily including catalogues and magazines. You can see through plastic window if you have mail in it and easy to retrieve through slits on the side.

No more destroyed mail
This worked out perfectly to stop my dogs from grabbing the mail.A little on the expensive side but well worth it for peace of mind.
