The story is briallant and we’ll thought out, set on an island where dinosaurs inhabit, with people from a Vicodin age. The illustrations are magnificent and campfire the mood and the imagination

I worried that re-reading this as an adult with my 4 year old daughter would have knocked off the rose-tinted glasses.I loved this book as a child, and I'm delighted to say that it's still as wonderfully imaginative and beautifully brought to life as I remembered.The best part is that my little girl loves it, too.

Amazing illustrations. Iam enraptured. The text, however, is solemn and jejune You'd be far better off rereading Gulliver to which Dinotopia owes quite a lot. Also get the enlarged poster of the triumphal entry into Sauropolis (a bif of a struggle on the net).
