The sound is great and super easy to preset the stations into memory. If you have an FM station that carries the RDS signal, the time will be entered automatically. When I first turn on the radio, there was no LCD display light. The radio comes with the dimmer display light off. A little press the dimmer button and voila, all is back to normal. The dimmer has many intensity steps. This is excellent when you have the radio very close to your face at night. It does not blind you. I ordered one from Amazon for my friend and after seeing it I order one for myself and I am very please with it.
