The outer shell is hard and there is no loose stitching in either pocket. The strap is soft and can extend to a multitude of sizes. I can obviously fit the steam deck in the main pocket. And in the other pocket the jsaux dock, 2m hdmi cable, 65w anker usb c charger along with a 3m anker usb c cable, a baseus power bank and a ps4 controller. It also had a nifty little pocket on the side which is where I keep the sd card holder.
