Salter Max Kitchen Scale With Chopping Board, 15 Kg Digital, 1 G

Review 1yr on...I use these daily for weighing and as a cutting surface. It sits on the counter and, given it's a decent size and weigh range I dump things on it and weighing is really easy..As a cutting surface, I like it. It's very hard and scratch resistant, unlike my wood or plastic chopping boards which I have now chucked out, because I just use this. While its hard enough to dull the edge of cheaper metal knives when you cut (soon remedied with a table top knife sharpener next to it) it's very very easy to clean, weigh and use...The only niggle is the buttons could be better placed and slightly bigger, but you get used to them.

Mother loved it. Great size and quality.

We use these for work purposes when mailing parcels.They are used every day and work very well. However, the on/off button has started to become a bit difficult to click, even after a couple of months. It takes a little while to turn off but other than that, the actual unit is nice. Cleans easily and works as it should.

i loved the scale but then the buttons stop working got my money back shame as i did like the scales so easy to use i was going to order again i thought salter was a good make but i don't think i will after reading other review

I had one of these for around 15 years and it was brilliant, reliable, accurate and long lasting. Sadly it died at the beginning of the year so it was a nobrainer to replace with an identical Salter High Capacity Kitchen Scale.Bad mistake, I had it a handful of weeks and it went totally unreliable, under-reading by about 20%. Still before I condemned the brand I though I'd give it a second chance, after all out of all the hundreds manufactured this could have been the only rogue unit. So I re-ordered. The replacement that arrived had a strange flaw in the digital display where a couple of the digital grids on the left semi-lit when the scales were being used. Still I could put up with that if the weighing was accurate. The weeks passed by and about 2 months later the scales went on the blink again. So much for going with a trusted brand.Salter is nothing like as reliable as they were in my experience so my next kitchen scales will be a different brand, fingers crossed they stay the course.

With these scales you can place a dinner plate on them and still see the the numbers! Great Salter quality and very stylish. You can use them to chop food on, personally I won't be as I look after my Sheffield made knives and never cut on glass.Highly recommend these scales.

I purchased this item on the 8th Aug 2024 as I medically had to lose weight due to type 2 diabetes and other ailments. I have now lost 2 stone and am no longer diabetic but I still need to lose more weight. So I have been using these scales to measure the loss of weight and they are brilliant. As good as the day I got them and naturally still working. I have a check up every 6 months at my GP practice which includes me being weighed which only confirms my scales are spot on. Brilliant purchase.

I have used A LOT of brands of scales. I am a bodybuilder so weigh out all sort of foods and meals and supplements every day. I wanted a large set of scales to easily fit a plate or pan on and add ingredients to. I have to say im dissapointed with this scale. The display is large, but its one of those old LCD style displays so if you are at the wrong angle, you can't read it as it just looks like 88888. The buttons are also very small and tucked on the front of the scale, they are actually awkward to press and often the scale moves when trying to press them. For me the button is also failing already after a month so I often have to press zero a few times to get it to tare. It doesnt auto turn off for quite a while so it burns through battery quickly too. I really thought this was going to be the scale for me, but its not great in my experience.

Les points positifs :- précise- remise à zéro (tare) pour peser plusieurs aliments dans un même contenant- fonction "ml" inédite et très utile !- les chiffres sont gros et donc facile à lire- jusqu'à 15kg, c'est parfois pratique (peser un colis à poster, son chat, par exemple ...)- fonctionne des piles AAA (fournies, c'est appréciable) et non des piles qui ne se trouvent pas facilement ou qui sont hors de prixLes points négatifs :- plus grande que les balances de cuisine traditionnelles, elle ne se range pas aussi facilement dans un petit coin. Heureusement, elle est assez fine.- le côté planche à découper me semble inutile car pas facile à nettoyer puisqu'on ne peut pas passer la balance sous l'eauJe ne compte pas me servir de la fonction planche à découper car je ne la trouve pas pratique, mais pour le reste, elle est bien pratique pour les pesées de précision.

E' una bilancia straordinaria e mi ha sorpresa molto la sua precisione. Numeri grandi e schermo led nitido ben leggibile ,spegnimento a pulsante o automatico . E' spaziosa permette di tenere su anche due ciotole molto comoda, di facile utilizzo, e facile pulizia, poichè basta un panno e la supeficie in vetro torna splendente pronta per gli usi successivi senza, avere polveri e farine che si insidiano. La uso tutti i giorni più volte al giorno, poichè essendo a dieta devo pesare tutto ad ogni pasto della giornata.LA CONSIGLIO .
