If you work in the Shipping sector, you can relate... now if you are Greek and or Norwegian and or a Banker... this is a fun book! I read it in two days!! Well written and enjoyable to spend time with these characters.

A great book for someone wanting to engage in the world of shipping. Emphasis is given on the lifestyle of shipowners and how american private equity and hedge fund managers started noticing the upside potential of the industry as well as its immense risks. It's a fictional book based on real events in the past decade.

This book is a good introduction to the glamorous shipping industry. Especially recommended to Asset Management professionals as they will find things that are relevant in their daily work life. Overall great book...

Good read

This book is a great way of introducing yourself to the Shipping Industry. It outlines all the basic terms within the framework of a story. As a piece of fiction however it is a terribly written book. Nevertheless worth a read if you are new to the industry.

I have come across this book by an accident, almost the same way the main character has come across the shipping industry. As an MBA student, I loved the way the business management and financial concepts are applied to the shipping industry in a vivid and dramatic setting. The only minor downside is some spelling mistakes and the names of the characters mixed up - Robert and John. All summed up, my rating is big shiny five stars.

Very good book and if u r in shipping you would love the book too since you will connect to the real shipping world , shipping guys do have that gambler instinct and all day Long we do nothing but taking position in every deal..
