My child has extremely wide feet with a high instep & the size I would usually get for her was 2 sizes too big. Def downsize but 1 or 2 sizes. The tounge has a wide/large range and a high instep is not an issue with these shoes which is handy. Very reasonable price for safety shoes & all round good quality however we did need to return (which was very easy) due to the incorrect sizing !. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Not accurate to size *by S***T on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 30 January 2023* Shoes are much bigger than the UK size stated ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good tough cheap workbooks *by P***D on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 13 September 2022* The first thing to say is the advice to buy a size smaller is spot on. I was a little nervous about this but figured that since I'm really 81/2-9 I could probably squeeze into an 8. Shouldn't have worried; the 8s fit me exactly like the 9s they are replacing - to the extent that I don't know why Blackrock don't just fall into line with the rest of the world's shoe sizing.On to the boots themselves. You can tell they are cheap - close up the uppers are a bit coarse, the soles are blocky and even the laces are like shoes rather than boots. Importantly though they are well put together with no lumps or rough finish and so comfortable to wear.The other thing that worried me was that, with steel toecaps and a plate they would be very heavy. While you wouldn't wear them to go ballet dancing they are fine for normal wear.Overall these boots a re a good example of tough cheap workboots. If I'm still working in an environment that needs safety boots and is going to be hard on them when they wear out; I would certainly buy another pair.
