Chef Knife Set, Beechwood, One size

Fantastic product, very good quality and the kids love using it. The knife is actually sharper than some of my other kitchen knives. Our 4-year old has mastered using the knife and the guard after only a couple of attempts and now we are quite comfortable with him using it on his own, although don't forget that this is a very sharp tool and supervision is always required. The peeler is great too, our kids now peel most of their fruit by themselves. Our kids loved helping in the kitchen anyways but now it means that they can perform more tasks independently so they are even more eager to get involved in what is a fantastic bonding and educational/developmental activity.

Debated about this for a long time but waited til she was 5. Wish I would have gotten it sooner. Great set really like the peeler as well as the knife. Good quality minimal packaging. Thans

My son just turned 5 and finally felt confident enough to get him his own set! The little chef knife is perfect for little hands and super sharp straight out of the box, so super safe! The little guard took some getting used to but he loves it and the peeler has become a favourite at lunch time. Would recommend to anyone wanting to help their little ones gain some life skills!

Son loves that he can help. Knife and veg peeler are sharp so supervision needed but the finger guard was easy for my 4 year old to use once I showed him and he made guacamole for our tea. Veg peeler is easy to hold but you need to watch little ones fingers as it’s really sharp. Similar to normal veg peeler so still dangerous. However if it was blunter and so safer they wouldn’t be able to peel the veg so watch theirs (and your) fingers

My son was really excited to have his own knife for making dinner. The knife guard we haven’t really got the hang of so we’ve not ended up using it - the rounded edge at the top is good. The peeler we haven’t used much yet. It is handy having a space for him to have his fingers however was fine not using it too

Our mini chef was straight to work with this set of tools.with the addition of an apron and recipe book it made a great present! The knife and peeler are very sharp, but the finger guard makes them safe. This means that the knife does not slip, so cutting through fruit and veg is easy and efficient. Any budding chef would love this.

I really like this and youngest daughter is thrilled. It takes a little bit of coaxing to make sure that the finger guard is used correctly but it does encourage the correct grip. The knife is nice and sharp, not too heavy for little hands and the rounded end means I am a more comfortable with her using it. This still obviously requires supervision when being used by a child, but taking that as a given I think this is great.

This is a very good quality knife , it is easy for a child to hold and operate safely (supervised of course ) great for encouraging new skills . Presented well in a nice box - the finger guard is excellent and easy to hold . I am confident this will last for many years .

bought this for my daughter who was 8 at the time to help in the kitchen. initially she wasn't a fan of the finger hole and her hand is big enough to hold a knife the "standard" way however she's become accustomed to the gripe style and loves using this knife. the "sharpness" isn't enough to dice through vegetables efficiently but it is sharp enough to slice and cut fruits and veggies. the finger guards is a great addition to practice safety. Understanding this product is like a bike with training wheels, it's not here to make kids a knife pro in the kitchen but rather to practice good safe habits until they are ready to move up to the real thing. A little pricey for what it is but the confidence it gives my child in the kitchen makes it worth it. We've hand washed it and ran it through the dishwasher with no issues so it holds up well. I do wish there was a bit more weight to it for "chopping" through thicker items but overall a great knife for aspiring chefs in the kitchen.

We are really enjoying the set. The knife is plenty sharp enough and looks beautiful. It helps that the top of the knife is blunt enough for any child to place their palm and lean their body weight on to cut harder fruits and vegetables. The peeler came wrongly installed and my husband was able to re-insert it the proper way. A clear recommend.
