What range of YEAR does this unit cover? I have an older Hunter which stops at year 2011 so I can't use it for automatic settings

pick any date off the current year. Then go backwards on the controller calander till that date appears on the same day and month. That year can be used in place of the current year. IN other words your birthday (day of week) will repeate it self every what seven years?

have a hunter system the digital read out is blank ,changed the battery but no luck why

This product works well. It is best if you set it to 24h mode because some of the readouts on the screen for am and pm are way too small to read. Otherwise this is a really great product and great value for the money.
