It's bright, has 2 different settings- spot or flood, that can be used separately or together and it's dimmable. Battery life is pretty good and charges via USB. The wave in front function to turn it on and off is very useful but a should be a lot closer as getting close to anything can turn it off. I covered the little sensor with Scotch tape and coloured it with a Sharpie pen that makes it work at no more that 100mm which is a great improvement. Best head torch I've had.

I really like this item and I’m glad I ordered it. It’s good value and provides a very bright light. I use it mostly while putting out food and cleaning the feeding area for the garden birds at night. The spot pattern is great if I’m looking for something or need very strong light but I mainly use the second setting, which casts a more uniform and softer light over a wider area. I do find it a bit fiddly to push the buttons while the torch is on my head but I have latex gloves on while cleaning. When I use my bare hands it’s easier. My only slight negative is the battery life. I find that I can only get enough power for three nights of doing my bird chores and then I have to recharge. It only takes a couple of hours to charge though. I would definitely recommend this item as long as you won’t be using it for long periods at a time. My average is about 3 x 30 minute uses.

I purchased this torch for my 6 month trip round Asia and have been impressed with it so far . It has 2 light modes which can be used separately or together . The wide angle light is great for walking or riding during the night and provides a large area if visibility, the spot light is great for focusing on something further away . The light weight and size allows me to comfortably carry the torch in my pocket or a small bag . I have not had to use the sos red light function but it is handy to have . The charge has managed to last me for 2 hours at a time with both spotlight and wide angle on at the same time which has been ok apart from one time when it ran out during a night time hike . If you need to use more than 2 hours at a time I would advise taking a portable charger to recharge the battery .the motion detector mode is also great for when you need to switch between having the torch on and off without having to press buttons .

I am very pleased with the head torch especially with how exceptionally bright both the spot light and the floodlights are compared to earlier LED head torches I've used in years past. The motion sensor feature is a great help when hands are dirty which means that you don't need to touch the lamp by pressing the on/off button thus avoiding soiling the lamp too. The strap is easy and simple to adjust and fits snugly on the head. I liked the adjustable angle feature on the light which allows you to direct the beam to exactly where you need it rather than having to lower or lift your head. I also like the remaining power indicator light feature which alerts you when the torch needs to be recharged to be ready for the next use. With the darker days upon us I am looking forward to using this more and more throughout the coming months. John from Leicester

Neat little package with the ability to give a deliver a good spot light beam about 20-25metres and a good blanket beam. The light source is well made and far better than I expected. Light weight too. Battery life is also good, lasting 4 short walks so about an hour. For such a small and light unit this is brilliant. The only let down is the head strap, it come loose to easily but that is easily fixed with a hair clip or a stitch. These are well worth the money!

I'd been using a battery-operated head torch for some time, so thought I should get with the times and grab a rechargeable one - and this is perfect for my needs. It's super-bright in all white light modes and the red light is convenient when you don't want to destroy your night vision. Believe it or not, I actually found a good use for the hand-wave-activated on/off function but my only gripe was that that doesn't seem to work in red light mode (unless I've missed it). When in the hand-waving mode there are also some tiny blue lights on the front of the unit which you can actually see shining on the ground when it's properly dark, so if you work on a fairground ghost train and want to remain invisible you might want to look somewhere else. Still, no complaints here, especially for the bargain price.

A good little head torch but there’s no option for the brightness level. It’s always high so the battery doesn’t seem to last as long as previous head torches I’ve owned. For the cash I can’t really complain. Most jobs I need it for the power lasts a couple of hours at least which is good enough.

Podstawowa, jak dla mnie zaleta: nie mrugają (w znaczeniu częstej zmiany natężenia światła), co jest zmorą dla wielu, nawet markowych, latarek bateryjnych. Rzeczywiście jest trochę niefortunne ustawienie przycisków. Tak jak ktoś już napisał: omyłkowe wciśnięcie lewego przycisku (z automatycznym wyłączaniem po zasłonięciu) można szybko skasować przełączając na sąsiedni guzik. Pasek na głowę jest w porządku, choć na ilustracjach wygląda na sztywny.

I'm quite impressed with this little unit. Statements like "it's very bright" are subjective, but I would say it is absolutely bright enough to go walking or jogging in complete darkness and still being able to see far enough in front of you to avoid obstacles. It's more than bright enough to be used for working on DIY projects, in roofs, or on equipment where you need to see tiny screws buried deep inside a camera, for example. I have not tested a complete "full to flat" discharge, but I did run it for about an hour and a half at max brightness, using both the flood and spot beams simultaneously, and after that time it was still on 3/4 charge (as pictured). I would imagine you could expect to run a half marathon using the flood beam continuously. For me, this is more than enough and it suits the type of unit I wanted: something with a rechargeable, not an external rear mounted, battery, and that was small and compact with an angle-adjustable head. I found the "motion activated" feature a bit hit and miss: the unit is great at picking up the motion of your hand in front of it to switch the light on and off, but unfortunately it *also* picks up anything solid moving across the front of the unit & and switches on / off. For example, I was installing a light fitting, and it interpreted the fitting hanging in front of me as if it were my hand waving in front of the unit, therefore switching the light off. I think this will be less of a big deal if you are using the unit to run or walk, or outdoors, but personally I feel I will probably just switch it on and leave it on. Your mileage may vary. The red LED mode is also incredibly useful, as I do night photography and this means my night vision doesn't get ruined when I need light. Final thought: for the price it's a complete no-brainer, and unless you are determined to have a Petzl or LED Lenser at many times the price, I would recommend this.
