Thermalright CPU Contact Frame Anti-Bending Buckle for AM5 Secure Frame

I can't yet say how or if this has affected temps. I have this on an MSI X670E/7900x3d with a NZXT Kraken Elite 240 RGB AIO. The fit and finish of this piece is spot on. It very securely mounted to the motherboard and looked great to boot. Applying thermal paste (Corsair XTM70) was a breeze and the AIO pump head fit right on as expected. The PC runs cool with the AIO and accomplishes all the demands I put on it. I would buy this again for any AM5 builds I have.

People will tell you that you don’t need it but for the price it’s such an easy upgrade and it gives you the peace of mind when building your first PC, I didn’t have to worry about thermal paste spilling over onto your CPU, you can tell it’s great quality and it fit my AMD 5 ryzen 7 9800X3D perfectly, I don’t know how much it will improve cooling but it sure looks good and worth the $10 and a added bonus it came with thermal paste.

This worked out pretty well. It actually seems to keep the cooler nice and flat on the CPU which was nice. The only downside is you will need to unscrew it if you want to change cpus again. Not a huge deal but just be aware. It's not something you do often anyway. Can't beat it for the low price.

I got this thinking it would look cool even though I won’t see it at all haha. But seen there are good results in temps. Have to say there were no jokes it is amazing results. Money wise it is great pricing. They even provide paste with the item. It’s easy to install. Fitting it is no hassle. It’s durable it’s nothing flimsy you can trust it holding your cpu.

I just think that motherboards and PC components are so beautiful, and the clasp system seems so out of place amidst an otherwise elegant environment. It just throws me off. That being said, all the YouTubers I found during my research were not actively using these frames outside of reviews. I don't know...the idea was really appealing to me and the data seemed to suggest that smooshing paste all over my pretty PC parts wasn't necessarily better, so yeah...I went for it. The set up is an AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D on an Aorus motherboard and an Aorus AIO side-mounted in a Montech King 95, and the temps idling around 43 degrees C and get as hot as 65 degrees C. The fans get aggressive by then and bring the temp back down to around 51 degrees where it'll stay stable until the load is removed. I'm new to PCs and I may not have the experience to know what is good or bad, but everything seems to be running fine and the temp stays stable. Using with the Thermal Grizzly Kryosheet. Yes, I got red. You can barely see the corner of it, so it's kind of like a little mysterious pop of color on a monochrome scheme.

Built a new system after Prime Days. Used this contact frame because it multi pressure points made sense to me. Very nice looking, until it gets covered-up. LoL Very well made, fit like a glove. Would use it again. Highly recommend. BTW, I mounted the CPU before removing the factory motherboard CPU clamp to make sure if I dropped anything pins would not get damaged.
