Sadly, I have found that many pads are simply inadequate for carrying things from the oven.** A: He can use it in the oven, but he can't hold it for too long. However, when I got the hot pads I wasn't very happy with them. I thought they were too thin & in fact they aren't much good for what I originally bought them for. I cook a lot of bread using a cast iron dutch oven. I wanted to be able to move the 500 degree heavy pot & these hot pads weren't good enough for that. However, I complained about how thin they were & the company offered to refund my money. I didn't take them up on it because I now use when thin pads will work. They are fine for normal baking; cookie sheets, roasting pans & etc. **Q: Are these 100% cotton or is description wrong? Is there a fabric label?** A: The label is off the one remaining potholder I bought, so do not know if they were Lifaith. If they were I would never buy them again.
