It shows how our attachment to others, of lack of it,, affects the whole of our lives; moreover it shows very clearly what are the causes of attachment and the causes of a lack of attachment, which, at an elementary level allows us to see why we are as we are, and why we had no choice in things happening the way they did. Having said that, this book also enables us to see how we can take what we have, make sense of it, and begin to change it. A powerful, well written book, much recommended to those with attachment (close relationship) issues.

This is a superb little book, presenting profound psychological ideas in a very accessible form.
