Amazing for starting out your trading journey!! I’m on page 82 currently and I have to say this is the best, most comprehensive charting techniques I have EVER read. I’ve read quite a lot online, free courses, forex forums etc about the patterns that are covered in this book. They provided me with no where near the level of detail and explanation as Steve Nison does. There are a ton of charts which are great and really helps seeing what Nison is describing. As I mentioned above I am only 82 pages in yet the amount of information I have learnt and been able to understand has compelled me to review. The price is a bit high, however, don’t let this put you off as the level of detail and analysis you can apply to your trading will be money well spent. Thank you Steve Nison for the time and effort you put into the book, you can really see how much has gone into it. Just brilliant :)

The book is excellent is one of the biggest collection in the world, very informative about candlestick charts from a big man Steve Nison. Steve Nison is known worldwide as the father of modem candlestick charting. The customer service is very helpful and very responsive/prompt too. Very happy with the product. ⭐ 5 stars for the book ⭐ 5 stars for customer service.

I have been dabbling with Forex for about two years now. I have paid out over £1000 in courses and bought fair too many 'quick fix' robots and systems that didn't work. So, a while ago I took another course in Price Action. This was from a well known Forex personality ... but I just couldn't get to grips with it .. Initially I was sceptical as I watched a few videos sent to me of Nison's teachings and they where from the 1990's ... so looked old and dated. He mainly talked about stocks, not FX which is what I am interested in. But the other reviews on Amazon convinced me to buy it. The difference with Nison's book is the explanations. I do not know if it is just me, but I like a little knowledge behind them. Whilst he doesn't tell you what to do, the explanation of why the candle forms the shape it does, provides you with the clues of when and how to trade. It explains a bit about how the market behaves and why ... and you gain an insight into the psychology of the market. It is almost bread crumbs to lead you to the answer yourself, which develops a greater understanding and knowledge of what the 'answer' is. This helped me to understand what other traders could be thinking when they take their trades and why that causes the markets to move. Because I can now see the patterns, understand why they formed and what other traders may be thinking (and why)... I can use this to be better informed about the market direction. Some other courses or explanations just tell you what to do after the pattern has formed ... this doesn't really help the intelligent trader! Monkey See Monkey do doesn't cut it in Forex for me. I have taken this knowledge and applied it to Binary Options trading. Since then, my trades are 90% - 100% winners, when before I was losing! I am glad I bought this book ... It is a shame I didn't do it earlier! Would I recommend it ... YES YES YES!!! You will make the money back this IS AN INVESTMENT!

A textbook such as this ought to aid one's understanding of a subject, so it’s good that there are plenty of practical examples contained within this fantastic book that explain important points. However, the aid to understanding is hampered when the illustrative example and the text that is referring to it are on different pages. Some of the concepts are complex and all are important – readers could lose a lot of money because of any misunderstanding – and the way the book is laid out doesn’t always help. If the book ever receives another revision, its usefulness would be improved ten-fold if the explanatory test was much nearer the example it refers to. The explanatory text works really well and I got a lot out of this book – it’s really good and Steve Nison REALLY knows his stuff. It’s about 70% of the truly awesome book it could be. And it's certainly the best you can buy on the subject.

A must buy for anyone who want to learn to read properly candlestick charts. Really easy to read and full of informations at the same time, candlestick pattern are described such a way you truly understand them with full of real examples, that way one can see that often real chart can deviate from theory if appropriate conditions are met, wich lead to really understand the meaning of each pattern and their implication on the sentiment of the market.

I have only read the first 1/10th of this book and I immediately felt obliged to write a review. It is absolutely brilliant. I have read other books about trading i.e. one good trade, market wizards, the complete turtle trader etc. And none offer a detailed explanation of how the markets move and dive into the nitty gritty of actual trading techniques. Whilst this book doesn’t tell you how to trade per se (obviously have to develop a strategy yourself), it does provide you with the tools to do so. Definitely worth the buy, and so pleased I made this purchase as initiallly thought it’s expensive if it were to be rubbish! Worth the money and it’s a life-long book you’ll keep on your trading journey.

In my view as a professional Forex trader, this book is essential for anybody who is already trading but not using candlestick formations & a must for anybody thinking about starting to trade the markets. By learning the candlestick formations alone described in this book, you will be able to identify set ups that put you on the right side of the market. These candlestick formations are very powerful when at a support or resistance level & studying this book will enable you to make a very profitable career in trading. Highly recommended 10/10.

Everything we need to know on Japanese candlesticks. Not only provides details on each pattern, but also examples and explanations on why those patterns tell us something. Very well written, with many references to Japanese sayings and anectodes. A pleasure to read, a bible to keep at hands.
