We use Gallagher products and they are all reliable. We use this one for our highland cattle to split up a pasture into four areas using electric "gates". Easy to set up and take down

So I can say from personal experience that this charger delivers a punch. Like any other solar panel, you'll need to give it a wipe down every so often to maximize charge benefit.

Great fencer to keep the cows in. Just wish the spark was a little hotter.

I don't mind paying 3-4 times the price of competitors but this charger is garbage. I have three triangulated ground rod on leads than a mile of total fence and it wouldn't zap a mosquito. The first day all my cows walked right through it. If you have cattle you know they know that a fence is hot and they stopped, nosed it, and walked right through. The fence tested they provide said the fence was at full strength with no issues. Poor charger don't was the extra cash!!

I had great sunny weather the first 3 days after installing this! I kept it off, facing south (I live in MA), and charging in the sunlight before turning it on. It’s connected to 300’ of premier 1 poultry netting with barely any vegetation touching the fence. The soil is damp and a 3’ grounding rod is connected to the energizer. I feel like I’ve done everything right and we have had mostly sunny days, but after about 5 days of working me the battery being solid green it turned solid red. Very frustrating. I’ll have to look into a return, as I can’t leave my animals on pasture without an energizer while I charge the battery indoors.
