Good Phone But Amazon Renewed Program is Not Good Value.
This review relates to the "Amazon Renewed" option and not the iPhone. This really was a bad decision to purchase using the renewed route. Initially I thought this was a reasonably sensible choice given the blurb about the program and that Apple devices are generally very reliable if cared for. The phone arrived with 84% battery capacity, which was disappointing but complied with the terms of the "Renewed" small print. After 6 months use I had to have the battery replaced by Apple at a cost of £100. After 18 months, the phone developed the White Screen of Death issue rendering the phone useless. The cost to replace the screen is close to £400, so after a total outlay of £800 and 18 months of light use, I am left with a worthless paperweight. I have taken this as a very expensive lesson and bought a new phone direct from Apple. I cannot, recommend the Amazon Renewed option. Buyer beware!

pretty sure they tried to scam me
If I could give them 0 stars, I would. I had bought a refurbished Apple iPhone 14 Pro from this seller and it died within a month of use. The phone got stuck in a “reboot loop”, then died, and when I took it to apple they said it was due to a software issue and it would have been cheaper to just replace it via Amazon. There were multiple issues with the phone; the microphone didn’t work properly and it was device banned on snapchat, they really shouldn’t have sold the phone in the first place. I have never returned an item on amazon before, so was unsure about what was required of me and of the seller - I mentioned this to the seller in the first message, and completely believe that they tried to take advantage of my apparent lack of experience. They asked me to send the phone back, which I did (over a month ago), but never offered to pay postage (they are obligated to) and I had only found out after looking through pages of terms and conditions and legislation. I ended up paying quite a bit for postage too, so that if it got lost I would be insured. Once they received the phone, they had pointed out that there was a crack on the back camera which I had then explained what had happened and that it was covered by the £87.69 Protectyourbubble.com insurance - this would cover accidental damage and theft. They told me that they needed to call me to talk about what we were going to have to do with the phone, and so I did. On this phone call they had said that I needed to send them £50 in order for them to fix my phone, saying it would be cheaper then getting it fixed somewhere else. luckily I had mentioned this to my mum as she thought something fishy was happening so I didn’t pay them instantly and instead tried to figure out my rights etc. Every time they had information to tell me about the phone, they would refuse to put said information into the moderated amazon chat that I had with them and would just ask me to call them. Even when I had asked them to say explicitly what they wanted from me in the chat they would just ignore it. I had told them time and time again that I need the information that they’re telling me recorded in the chat, saying “it's important to me that you tell me this information over this amazon chat, as I would like a clear and transparent line of communication” and their response to that was “No worries dear please feel easy everything recorded in amazon chat so please don't worry about it .please share a phone number our team will contact you resolve your issue”. Unbelievable! It got to the point where I had to write the information they had told me down as they literally wouldn’t and I was uncomfortable that this information was not being recorded. I also expressed the urgency of resolving the issue, explaining that it was causing me significant stress and affecting my mental health. As a university student, not having a functioning phone made it difficult to keep track of work shifts and my studies. Despite this, they basically ignored my concerns. Even after Amazon customer service intervened and directed the seller to provide a full refund, including my return postage, the seller still insisted on phone calls. I repeatedly asked for all communication to stay in the Amazon chat, where it could be documented. I even provided proof of my warranty entitlements to show that I shouldn’t have to pay for repairs. I contacted customer service multiple times, and they had sent messages to the seller through my account twice - stating I want a full refund - to which they replied, “Dear we can’t able to refund you because your phone is out of policy for refund but we will repair your phone for you please share a screen password we need to fix it.” They had my phone for a month, and had told me that I needed to pay them £50 in order for them to repair it, though as soon as I ask for a refund they no longer need me to pay for the repair? If that isn’t a massive red flag then I really don’t know what is. Luckily, amazon got involved again and I was finally issued a refund! I strongly recommend avoiding this seller entirely. If you need a phone, buy directly from Apple — dealing with this seller is simply not worth the stress, hassle, and potential loss of money. Dealing with New Phone House is extremely frustrating and from my experience they tried to drag out this process for as long as possible, probably hoping I would just forget about the phone so they could sell it to someone else. God bless Amazon, my saving grace 🙏

Not good enough
First time I’ve ever bought a “renewed” product, will be the last. General condition is ok but two issues, after a month a using the charging port is now not keeping the cable in at all meaning I’ve had to be a magnetic charger which is ok but not as good as a cable. The second is the touch screen, if I need to touch the edge of the screen it tends not to register as a touch. Overall I wouldn’t recommend.

Buy genuine Apple certified renewed!
Why did you choose this product over others?: Looked great when it arrived “pristine condition” - little did we know the RF chip was damaged and so call kept dropping out, and the back had been replaced with third party parts meaning that one of the phone lenses came loose and dropped of in less than 2 months CAREFUL use. Took it to Apple thinking it would be an easy fix - their diagnostics found several issues and they quoted £519 to put it right! 😢😢 I’m not blaming the company, they do disclose they may use non genuine Apple parts BUT I think there should be full disclosure and transparency about exactly what has been replaced in each individual phone. I was a bit naive here and got caught - should have paid the extra £250 for a genuine Apple certified renewed direct from the manufacturer. Amazon have hopefully saved the day here by agreeing a return and refund (although I haven’t received it yet!) but if I do I shall be forever grateful I bought it through them rather than online with no comeback!

The battery health was severely damaged very disappointing
I am very disappointed with this refurbished iPhone. The battery health is only 77%, which is far below what I would expect from a refurbished device. A battery at 77% capacity is already significantly degraded and will not provide the performance or battery life of a properly refurbished phone. When purchasing a refurbished product, customers reasonably expect worn components to be replaced or for the condition to be clearly disclosed before purchase. Receiving a device with such poor battery health makes me question what refurbishment work was actually carried out. If the phone has truly been refurbished, why is the battery still in such a heavily worn condition? At 77% battery health, the device is already below the level where Apple recommends considering battery replacement. I would not have purchased this phone had I known the battery condition beforehand. Overall, this has been a disappointing experience, and I would urge potential buyers to verify battery health and refurbishment standards before purchasing. I also bought the good quality one not the worn quality one. I paid more expecting reasonable quality for what I paid which was £320.

Unreliable – “Like New” and “B Condition” Means Nothing Here
I’ve learned the hard way that buying used phones on Amazon Marketplace is a gamble. You truly have no idea what condition the phone will arrive in, no matter what the listing says. I previously ordered an iPhone listed as “Like New” and it came in terrible condition—but luckily I managed to get a refund. Hoping for better luck, I then bought this iPhone 14 Pro 256GB listed as “B Condition.” Initially it seemed okay, but after one month I realized the camera was defective—blurry images and focus issues. Now, just three months later, the display has developed a black circular spot (about 5mm wide). This is extremely disappointing for such an expensive device. I will never purchase a used phone from Amazon Marketplace again.

Disappointment
I purchased an iPhone Pro believing I would receive a device in “GOOD” condition, as advertised. However, upon opening the package, that expectation quickly turned into disappointment. The device shows visible scratches across multiple areas, a deep mark on the front glass that even raises concern about possible cracking, and several dents and signs of wear throughout the body. This is not a matter of minor cosmetic imperfections — the condition is clearly below what was promised. Beyond the product itself, what stands out most is the loss of trust between what was advertised and what was actually delivered. Had the true condition been made clear from the start, I would not have proceeded with the purchase. I do not recommend it.

Issue with sim installation
Bad phone, the mobile service under settings is grayed out and therefore does not detect any sim. Likely a hardware issue. Not an easy problem to detect
